I agree. But with simple math mp5 will show as better stat than crit once you have decent ammount. Example :

mana cost of Holy light with libram and sow up is around 1102 or something like that and lets say your cast time is 1.7 sec.
and you have 50 % crit :

So 1102 x 0.3 (30%) = 330.6 mana back each time it crits. 330.6 / cast time (1.7 sec) = 194.5 mana/sec each time it crits to conver that into mp5 is 194.5 x 5 sec = 972.4 mp5 now we need to add the crit % factor which is 50% so :

972.4 mp5 x 0.5 (50%) = 486 mp5 which is not that high at all atm raid buffed with no flasked i got around 406 mp5 while casting. So its rather easy to gain enough mp5 to cope with crit mana gains. + Your crit chance goes up in raids unlike mp5 (except BoW) (Replenishment doesn't count). Crit buffs are either from ele shamans or Boomkins 5%.

Not to mention how superior mp5 is to crit when it comes to flash of light. I agree that with high crit u get more healing done but still with more spell power and decent crit you get massive hps.

Point is not to spam one spell any more keep the hot from flash of light up 100% of the time. And not just spam the tank or raid till you go oom. :P Not saying that you do that but there are a lot of ppl who just do mindless spams.
