It's true. It's also true the forum rules are merely a guideline, and not an exhaustive listing of all rules. As such, moderators are free to use their discretion and ban pretty much anyone for any reason they might want to. So, for instance, people being pedantic about the rules annoys me, so I might choose to ban them for it.
