Hi guys,
another long time lurker/reader here. Decided to register yesterday and due to the mute I had to wait until I could post :/
Anyway ever since I started playing a Death Knigh I've been a fan of frost specs (especially pre-3.0.8, when Howling Blast was still lower in the tree), and since I think dual wielding looks cooler I've been interested in it.
Inspired by Rests 15/55/1 build I decided to try out some stuff in the blood tree. My main spec is tank and due to school I don't have much time to raid or even do heroics for the conquest gear, so I'm all ilvl 200/ToC 219 geared, which led me to Rests spec. I didn't like having only 1 point in unholy (as I still need gear and enchants to get some hit, right now it's below 100 even), so I took 2 points from the frost tree and put those in Virulence. Since my guilds healers always struggle at Hodir and Thorim I decided to take another 2 points from frost and put them in Rune tap and 1 in Improved Rune Tap (combined with Glyph of Rune Tap this can come in pretty handing in a raid I think).
I tried it on a dummy a couple of times and got results between 1.9 and 2.2k, depending on lag and my rotation. This is about the same as I did with my blood spec and Edge of Ruin (right now I'm wielding Torment of the Banished MH and Hailstorm OH), so I was content with that. I've only been able to try it in a heroic for about half a minute (until we wiped and called it a day) and I hit +/- 2k on the champions, which like I said before is what I usually hit with my 2h as well.

If you don't want/need Rune Tap I guess you could use those points elsewhere. I was doubting between putting them in Rune Tap or get UA and Deathchill, since free crits and extra strenght are always nice :-)
