Ok I am at this point completely and totally lost on what to do about my spec, I have been for the longest time using Frost for PVE. i'm very comfortable with the spec, I have the right rotation and talents...my DPS in frost can be 3-4k...due to popular demand however..I get kicked from a lot of pug raids and have even had problems with guild raids just because im frost spec. So I tried fire.....for whatever reason my DPS in fire is 50% or more less than it is with frost.
i've talked to numerous mages that have tried every spec. They all tell me my talents are good, my rotation is correct, the glyphs right and my gear aint bad. My problem you might ask? I am struggling to get even 2k dps! this makes no sense to me what so ever. I'm hit capped, my sp is near 1900 unbuffed. I got items that proc me to over 4k sp in raids yet I still pull 1.5-2k dps? I'm doing everything the same as other fire mages who are pulling 5k dps. My rotation is LB/Scortchx5/FB recast LB and PB when HS procs, i'm using combustion when my SP is over 3k and mirror image at the same time. But basically its just spam FB. I need some serious help with this subject for anyone who can please.
