Could he summon elites to act a...sort of a...undead...meat...shield...once the Horde and Alliance artillery started bombing his precious spire, which would simply be lying in the open?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love if he could. I'm all for focused strikes by elite warriors being the key to victory.
