This is a shitty post, with no understanding of the mechanics behind spriest DPS. Stop with it until you figure it out. Hint: SWP is our worst dot so the "loss" is actually pretty much what the sims are showing.

As an aside, a three-second base cast nuke on a 1.5 second effective cast time before haste, as you suggested, would be stupid in PvP, and that's before you consider Mind Trauma.

You are aware that mages and warlocks are casting spells with no cooldown in around 2 seconds that are baseline 3 second spells right now right? And there spells do not have cooldowns? shadowbolt , frostbolt , arcane blast(2.5), and each one of them does more damage than mind blast by alot. Why would it be so amazing for us to receive a proper nuke that still has a long cooldown?

Btw the simcraft numbers are a joke and I laugh every single time I read someone post about them. If you cannot see that removing haste from SWPain is taking almost all of the increase we were going to be receiving then I cannot help you. Had they taken away both the haste to VT and DP and left the haste stacking to SWPain we would have been better off, but they did not like they way we were using there idiotic coding to our advantage.

Something else has to be added in to making us viable dps. If they did not like they way we were using the haste stacking benefit from SWPain then fixing mind blast to be a real nuke and finally giving us the full coefficient for a 3second channeled spell with mindflay then we will be fine.
