ok, so a hardcore raiding guild wanted me to improve my DPS before i could join them. the Gl referred me to this site to gain some insight. I must say after spending several hours reading and rereading i am thoroughly confused.
I have decent gear mostly 226+ but my DPS on a heroic practice boss dummy bearly scratches 2800.  The GL says i should be up in the 3300 range. 
I have changed my spell rotations, buffed up with flask and fish feast but no matter what i do 2800 is about the best i can do.
i get my best DPS from going VT, SW:P, DP, MB then MF
i have recount running and i keep my DoT's fresh. I don't know what else to do to raise my DPS. Without getting very technical can anybody give me some pointers on how to improve my DPS.
Wow Heroes rates my gear at 2430.
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
