Don't start your post off with a greeting and close it by signing it. You aren't writing a letter home from camp and post-signing is explicitly listed in the rules. Get to the point when posting here, we don't need your life story. Ask the question without the fluff. Don't randomly bold portions of a sentence. We are already reading your post we will see the words without the bold. If you have to bold your question to make it stand out, that's a sign you have too much fluff in your post.
Now let's get to the content of your post. You are asking on an end game forum, how to spec your level 68. You're linking us to this wonderful spec and asking us what to do next. That's not what we do here. Next you point out that you want to spec with the weakest of the 3 specs for PvP, you admit that you realize it's the weakest of the three and then ask us to help you play it to the best of its ability. You say "Yes I'm that guy" and to that we say "Don't be that guy."
Also fix your armory, there is no priest names Xanus on Ysera.

Original Post:

Greetings Guru Gougers!
I'm new to a rogue, I have been playing it non-stop for the past two weeks. Unfortunately, I have become addicted to the dreaded subtlety spec! It's far too fun and I haven't run into many 1v1's I couldn't deal with.
As I'm only 68, I'm currently running this spec. I intend to add glyph of preparation. Depending on what second tree I go down, I'll either glyph vigor or leave gouge?
I've been perusing this thread for some time now and can't find a definitive answer to my quandary, what is the most effective way to play a totally dead spec (Subtlety)?
I'm in love with the control and utility. Nothing is more satisfying then following a hunter's disengage, trinking a lock's fear, or other knock back effects with a well placed shadowstep to shadowdance to cheapshot and so forth.
I think I already know that Subtlety is the "worst" pvp spec. What I would LOVE to know, is better ways to play it! Yes I'm that guy, I want to be at my best playing the worst. For instance, should I be using slow swords and macros for ambushes? Am I stuck with DP/Crippling? Any tips you old shadowstep veterans may have I'd love to hear of them.
Cheers!
Spooks
