Let's put it this way. Had a mage at about 60 hitpoints and he cast Frost Nova and blinked away, so I used Deadly Throw. He had Ice Barrier partially up (some damage had already been done) and I did a total of about 20 damage with my Xavian Stiletto. If I had been using Gladiator's War Edge, he would have been dead.

The stat gain looks to be nice because of the ilvl difference, but I want my target to be dead. Why is the Arena weapon going from a 1.90 speed to 1.30 speed, faster than even the PvE throwing weapons? That's a harsh change.

What are you waiting for, a certain shade of green?

A rogue wearing PvE gear in high end PvP would be bursted down faster than you can say cookiecake.

If you had had 20 more AP, the mage would have been dead from all your melee damage before he got to blink ^^

The stats are like 6 STA, 4 Resilience, 5 Crit rating, 6 AP more, I'd rather have the extra damage on Deadly Throw honestly unless I was hurting for stats.

I'm a bit miffed about the lack of thought on Hunter set bonuses...On s1 gear, Rogues had roughly the same bonus as Hunters, -1 c/d on gouge compared to -1 c/d on concussive shot...and the Rogue bonus turned into +10 energy, a 31 point talent. However, the Hunter set bonus remains pathetic. Looks like I'll be going 2/5 and 3/5 on arena gear for the resilience. :\

Edit: Have the honor cloaks been updated from s1 status to s2? All the other epic honor rewards have been, but I haven't seen any information on the cloaks yet.

Has anyone confirmed whether the two piece season 1 bonus and two piece season 2 bonus for the same armor set will stack? In other words, say, ornate helm+shoulders and merciless ornate gloves+chestpiece?

Yes they will stack like using 2 pieces of Honor and 2 pieces of Gladiator does right now.

Agreed. I'm pretty sandy myself about the whole level of care given to arena hunters. Fortunately, I have a lot I can improve about my own play before /wrists /reroll.

Rest assured that any PVP weapon/cloak/ring/neck will NOT have any agility whatsoever

Not that many people other than me care about it, but the moonkin gladiator set is still completely misdesigned. Having tons of mp5 but no spell crit makes me really confused. Can someone explain to me what the reasoning behind this might be?

Somebody put me at ease. I'm ranked 31st atm(2308). And there's about 15400 2vs2 teams(77 qualifiers for mounts/titles).

What are the chances between now and Tuesday of dropping...oh say....47 ranks past 77th(2205). Heh.

Reason I'm asking is, even if I wanted to 2vs2 I couldn't, partner is AWOL, until next week, and I'm by nature a very paranoid person.

Id say you are safe. My question is how did you come up with the number of teams in your battlegroup? I too am a bit paranoid of my teams slot, but we are both respecing slightly and gonna hit it hard this weekend. Knowing how many teams were in my battlegroup would help me judge when I felt sufficiently safe.

How are you getting team ranking from that? I just see rating and "Not Ranked" for his arena teams.

Is it bad that I immediately looked at my battlegroup (Vengence), found the only RP server, went to that server's guild progression and browsed through the armory's of the only alliance guild stuck on Moroes?

I don't know why, but this post made me burst out in laughter.

I had a similar experience in AV the other day with some guy that kept taunting Drek'thar off me and proceeded to get two shot every time without fail. This happened 3 times in a row - he actually got battle rezzed once, and corpse ran back the next time. Didn't even bother complaining, it was just too funny to watch. His title proclaimed he was a Field Marshal at some point so I thought I'd check out his Armory, to see if maybe he was really low ranked in his guild (implying he's an alt) or whatever ... this is what I got.

Field Marshal and that 3v3 rating does not compute. Actually clicking on his team is even more amusing ... and yeah I'm pretty sure I found rock bottom for my battle group by coincidence this way -.-

Second-hand accounts are the usual explanation, Teez. After skimming through potential recruits for my guild I found that the "random" players floating around the servers are almost always bought(/whatever).

Boy this arena season is ending in a whimper, no WoW Front Page announcement that the season is ending, no WoW forums hype from the CMs, no recognition of the teams that got their mounts/titles, the #1 teams in each Battlegroup, I wonder if they'll even bother to achieve the season to show off who the best of the best was for the first ever arena season.
