Yes, there is, it basically depends on how much damage you eat over the course of a match and how much emphasis you put on buffering damage spikes.

which shows that damage reduction of crits is actually even higher than the tooltip indicates, against most classes.
If you get across my analysis of sta vs. resilience, keep in mind that the formulas are based on a very conservativ approach, while the opposite holds true, as shown by werdner. So resilience is more effective than dicussed there.
But since there seems to be a warlock epidemic, just use sta, and you will be fine! ;-)
