Think about where GMs sit on the food chain. I would think many are quite knowledgeable, but for the sheer abuse potential they probably have a very strictly defined set of things they can do. And since its a first-time thing, Netherdrake issues are probably not on the list.
I transferred my character between accounts while being the leader of an arena team. That left my team stranded, because I was kicked off the team when I transferred but nobody else was made leader (I was still listed as being on the team and am still listed twice on one of my teams, I guess you get a new player ID when you transfer, but they don't completely purge the old one). So I pentitioned a GM. He didnt know what to do and told me to petition again. So I did. The new guy refered me to some restoration specialist, who (after I told the same story the third time) refered me to some senior restoration specialist who was finally able to help me. So issues with character transfers need someone on the third tier of GM power to be handled. I would not expect anything less when it comes to Netherdrakes.
