[Warlock] PVP trinket removes UA??

Read this on WOW forums. Can someone confirm this? Is that a bug or working as intended? From what I read it if you UA and fear it removes both.

PVP trinket does in fact remove UA, no word yet that I am aware of that confirms whether it is a bug or intended. My assumption is that it is a bug.

As a side note, does the PvP trinket remove silences? I haven't had much chance to test lately, I've only been in able to get in a few arena matches this week and they were all against terrible teams.

Good golly miss molly. If that's a bug, its the weirdest one since the Polymorph one not healing the target on the test realm not too long back. Something COMPLETELY unrelated to anything in the patch notes gets changed by accident.

There's always free cheese in the mouse traps, but the mice there ain't happy.

It's probably something to do with the hidden debuff a target is given for having UA. This hidden debuff is known to effect judgement of light weirdly.

Considering the power of the UA debuff in PvP (when compared to CC), I actually don't think it's a terrible change if they kept it with this functionality (though I'd say the trinket should clear MS as well if that were the case).

Since it's getting fixed in an upcoming patch, I certainly plan on dispelling as many UAs as possible with the trinket while I can.

No it does not, Silence does not take over your character physically. PvP trinket dispels debuffs that remove the right to control your character physically.

On a side note, PvE mobs that dispel UA will get hit by both the nuke and the silence effect (if they're not immune to silence that is). Maybe this fix ended up breaking UA's function elsewhere.
