WSVG live 3v3 arena coverage.

If you don't recall from WSVG china they play the 3v3 arena with premade characters. This time around they have live first person views from each of the players. It seems like they will be following the winners of the china event all day today. The first match wasn't too exciting, but this next one (starting at 1:30 eastern) should be a lot closer.

The announcers are very annoying, but it's still neat to watch. Live feed on the wsvg homepage: www.thewsvg.com

The guy in the middle (one of the teams, not announcers) has a HUGE adam's apple...

The announcers for that are just terrible... I remember watching one of the 3v3 events last month and the game came down to a paladin vs. a mage, but the announcer kept calling the paladin a warrior. It made me angry.

Argh they're advocating using a Succubus for a SL warlock. AAAAA I thought they had announcers who knew the game this time

Nope, that's what xarrio blamed their 5-0 loss on. He said he was out of combat the whole time with no water to drink.

At one point a priest died and had spirit of redemption the announcer was like "The priest has died, no I'm wrong he's now at 100% health, whoop there he goes he finally died".

Warrior Priest Paladin was Pandemic's setup (at least for the game I saw)

I've been watching, and I really think 3v3 is such a weaker format than 5v5. It's so gimmicky, both teams who have lost have lost pretty much because of their setup (they used a Warlock which was just a huge mana drain on their healers). 5v5 is so much better...

Warrior/Priest/Pal vs Warlock/Warrior/Pal (this was Pandemic vs 519)
Noktyn just sticks on the Warlock and Pandemic wins the mana war, I'm having a hard time thinking of any strategy that will let 519's setup win this... Only thing that I could see having a chance of working is an offensive bop on the Warlock and trying to get a kill.

Warrior, paladin, holy priest

All 5 games were long, and if xarrio had water he would have had plenty of time to drink, and the outcome could have been different. Also watching that game made me really think mace is the best choice for arena warriors. Notkyn was able to completely lock down that warlock between mace stun, pummel, and intercept.

I don't get all the warlocks in these games without shadow priests. I think warlock can work in 3v3, but not with warrior as his partner.

The announcer just said that the shaman should respec to moonkin form... So bad on so many levels.

When I go to that page I just get a streaming ad for the WSVG on CBS Sports on 7/29. Is the stream overloaded or down, or am I just dumb? (Or both??)

A member of my guild is playing in this, TwoPointO, elemental shaman. He'll be in the 2nd round tomorrow. Apparently the audience are being total assholes at this thing - he posted on our forum that one of the teams had some loudmouth stand behind his monitor and scream out what they were doing to the other team.

The announcer wearing the NIN shirt appears to be the only guy who really knows what's going on. You'd think that they'd at least have some people around who could talk about the mechanics and technicalities of the classes that are going to be being played while they have some downtime rather than just scramble nonsensically. I can understand wanting to appeal to a wider audience but really - who do they think their audience is?

The next match up actually does seem like it will be interesting if they ever get around to it.
