The only interesting commentary was when Vhell and 2GD (I think I got that right, the warrior on Fnatic) spent a few minutes bullshitting with each other while the other commentators shut up/went away.

The guy in the NIN shirt sounds like he knows whats going on, but he cant relay it while on camera for some reason, and the other guy is a complete toolbag who doesn't bring anything positive to the table. Seriously just get rid of him and stick with the other two, or better yet, bring Vhell or some of the other players in to talk when they aren't playing.

I'm very happy that they mic'd the teams so we can listen to the chatter (or trash talking) during the match, and at this point I would rather just mute the shoutcasters and listen to the teams talking.

Agreed, their talk was actually interesting to listen to. I'd have been much happier if those two had done the commentary for the matches, as they'd have more to say than "I really don't like Moonkin."

Or "Perhaps he could heal by running in circles" - indeed, with some decent shoutcasting and MUCH better admin (incredible downtime involved with respecs, swapping classes and so on) this may become more popular. Right now, though, it just isn't a spectator sport because nothing happends at any discernable rate. Even watching some of the Quake matches I felt a greater sense of 'pace', despite me never having played the game.

I realise having variety is great for games such as these, but the lack of healing in some teams seems to make it a 40 second game with 10 minutes of downtime. Awesome if you have something else to do, but for the most part underwhelming. Having 3 fans of the game shoutcasting is the main improvement that could be made here, though.

At least part of the commentary problem is a viewing problem. I think they're seeing the same thing we are, so the focus is switching all the time, and its really hard to tell to who when both teams have a warrior or ect. Add in a limited knowledge of wow (not EJ material, but not really horrible) and you get a lot of people complaining. I thought they did a good job and kept the actual matches entertaining, though the 30 minute dead time they had got pretty old.

Also, very biased. Had it out against the guy who broke his keyboard. (which, btw, happens to me all the time, you just sort of hit the movement buttons to fix it.)

You don't really have to qualify, if you pay the cash you're in no matter what your skill level.

It seems (according to both the Amped and WSVG live brackets) that Insurrection have gone 3-2 over MoB TurtleForce in the Lower Bracket Final. Shame they didn't show this game on the live feed as this was one I was looking forward to. Quake seems to be hogging preceedings on the main stage at the moment.

The commentary just stated too that the Quake final is going to be good, ""unlucky you wow players". Seems we have to wait longer to see any WoW footage.

If it was the guy with the British accent, he was being ironic - he's a WoW player for Fnatic. The Insurrection/TurtleForce match was extremely, extremely close, though.
