One time where I'd want to use my trinket on silence is in my 2v2 with a warrior. Against SPriest/Warlock (and similar) they'll often do death coil->spell lock->silence without ever worrying that I can get out of it or having to catch a spellcast. I either resist something or I'm out of action for 11 seconds.

Being able to trinket out of counterspell/school-lock effects would be nice. What would be nicer would be something to actually *do* while counterspelled.

And there are plenty of effects that are trinketable despite being on cooldowns, including:

Warrior
Intimidating Shout - 2 minute cooldown
Intercept stun - 30 second cooldown

Warlock
Deathcoil - 2 minute cooldown
Howl of terror - 40 second cooldown

Priest
Psychic scream - 30 second cooldown

Mage
Frost Nova - 25 second cooldown
Cone of Cold - 10 second cooldown
Dragons Breath - 20 second cooldown
Blast Wave - 30 second cooldown

Rogue
Blind - 5 minute cooldown
Kidney shot - 20 second cooldown
Gouge - 10 second cooldown

Druid
Natures Grasp - 1 minute cooldown
Maim - 10 second cooldown
Feral Charge (root component) - 15 second cooldown
Bash - 1 minute cooldown

Hunter
Trap - 30 second cooldown
Wyvern Sting - 2 minute cooldown
Scatter shot - 30 second cooldown
Intimidation - 1 minute cooldown

Paladin
Hammer of Justice - 1 minute cooldown
Repentance - 1 minute cooldown

There are probably a few more that I have left out as well.

In conclusion, perhaps you should have a little bit of understanding about the game before making broad generalizations that have no basis in fact.

Sorry, that's right, I don't know why I was completely stupid when I posted that. It seems like trinketing wouldn't help arena a lot for those reasons while assuring a mage's trouble against a paladin 1v1 because quite severe.

You have the right to remain silent. THAT MEANS SHUT UP.

Until this evening ive mostly done 2on2 with a warrior, though ive done it with a rogue and mage aswell. But i tried it out with UA warlock who i joined up with in 3on3 since our ele shaman stopped playing in our top ranked 3on3 team (war, ele sham, me(holy) ).

But back to the topic again. Playing with a warlock seems to be the only class able to survive the insane nuke that a warlock + SP burn out (i my self teamed up with a SP+lock this week.. and the damage is just insane).

But none the less, they have fear, pet spell lock, fear, silence and continue that road. And not to forget mass dispel.

Let me sketch normal fight with a warrior vs warlock + SP:

sacrifice on war

War charges after they moved into the middle (abit closer to us)
War gets heavy dotted.
I do one of 2 things here: 1st: Try to heal without bubble = spell lock = dead war.
2nd: I bubble, my war gets deathcoiled, SP does mass dispel, silence = dead war.

With the warlock its a different ball game, He basicly gets heavy dotted / nuked, but here i mostly get time to do 1 heal inside my bubble due to him being able to death coil / spell lock the SP.

Aslong as i can get 1-2 heals off the fight is fair.

But that quick mass dispel + silence is just nuking me, if i would be able to trinket out, id atleast be happy.

Also silence is cool, and needed in the game. What is evil versus paladins and also shamans are counter spell.

Rogues and warriors's kick / pummel are fair. CS is ranged, 10 sec lock down. Can't even bubble when affected.

This is mostly bad in 2on2's and 3on3's as im often the only healer there. I do know the game is based on 5on5, but we are seeing tournaments in all arena's jumping up, encouraged by blizzard.

Last note: Not complaining, i just switched to a even more imbalanced team setup. Hope we will once see it being more equal for all classes.
