Previously cleanse and poison cleansing totem (and stoneform, grr!) made it next to useless.
The only bug I'm aware of is that Paladins can actually BoP *themselves* out of it, which I hope has been reported as it's very annoying!
I used Blind->Sap many times just yesterday, so not sure what you mean? Mage/Rogue is still one of the strongest 2v2s.
I duelled a Disc priest and won with a clutch Blind->Sap->Sap->Bandage to let a SW:P run off me.

Blind now shares DR with ALL incapacitate and disorient effects. Gouge, sap, all of that now lowers the timer on blind. Polymorph is also now classified as a form of incapacitate which proves my point further. There were lots of scenarios beforehand of dispelling abolish poison or killing the totem that makes the execution go off much smoother. But now with the shared DR on ALL incapacitate effects in both pvp and pve, it's just ludicrious for something with a 3 minute default cooldown.
EDIT: In Patch 2.3, the [Blinding Powder] reagent requirement was removed and became a physical attack as opposed to nature like a poison. Now shares the same diminish category as Cyclone and is now diminished in PvE as well as PvP.

I still don't think you're right.
I understand that sap and sheep are on the same DR atm, but Blind should be seperate. I'll have to test it later...

Just did some testing, Sap and Polymorph do indeed share DR, but Blind is on a separate DR timer.

In my arena my mage polymorphed after the blind wore off. It was cut off to 5 seconds and we lost the match because of it.
I've done some more testing and it shows that blind shares DR with dragon's breath and scatter shot.
I could be wrong and be misinterpreting what was said on wowwiki, but it is wierd to see an elite mob get 5 second blind after I gouged it.

I blinded a target that was sapped and polymorphed and it had a 10s timer, while Polymorph had a 5s timer, I tested it several times too (in the STV arena) so I'm 100% sure. In your case it had probably been less than 15s since a Gouge or Sap wore off.
In any case, has there been any official confirmation that this is working as intended? It seems really stupid to me since Fear and Sap don't share DR.

I don't really trust/rely sources from blizzard and the blue posts. EJ forums are an opposite parallel compared to the wow forums. But anyway.
I did the same exact routine again. The same 5 second blind timer came right at me. I was testing this on an elite nexus stalker in mana tombs.
There has been lots of issues and mechanic changes that were either intended or unintended flooding the wow general forums. I'd check there from a start - ironically moreso than the Bug report forums.

The only thing that makes sense then is that Blind & Sap shares DR on elite mobs, but not players.

Ok, I just Sapped, Gouged and Blinded a Nexus Stalker right after each other and they all had their full duration. Now I'm really confused.

Sadly, I'm also confused by this as well. I'll do some more testing after my server comes back up from restarts and fixing. It's been really laggy for a low pop server lately.

Gonna agree, Mage/Rogue in 2v2 got a lot stronger with the patch. Rogue/Lock lost some power, but Spriest/Rogue gained some as well. 2dps is still alive and kicking.

Is there any way to avoid warlock pets set to aggressive mode when sapping? Every time I've sapped, the pet gets on me regardless of what I've tried(sprint drivebys, in-stealth vanish for supermode).

If only anyone actually used daggers, or even considered ambush over other openers! 10% to nothing is nothing!

If they made Ambush 300% and it worked with all weapons.... no one would ever use it, still. It needs 3 talent points to be effective and almost no amount of damage is worth losing a 4 second stun...
Like garrotte, they need to add some aspect of utility to it to make it viable. Maybe it should at least daze? Automatically apply both poisons so they're at least snared? Something, anyway...
[Mini-whine: good thing they buffed the burstyest class in the game (Mages) by giving them even more shatter burst... (ahem, not!). We lost 26 pts in 3v3 today against some scrub mage/mage/rogue team. Just impossible to deal with 2 x silence, 2 x sheep when our healer is a resto shaman...]

WoW-Europe.com Forums -> 2.3 Blind Bugged
I just fished this out of the rogue EU forums, it seems I was right. Though the bug seems eratic, other people are experiencing it as well.

Have you tried distracting then sapping from behind the pet? I noticed vanish stealth supermode has not been working well for me lately either.

Ambush needs to apply/give a Find Weakness sort of debuff. Hell I might use it if Ambush applied a 5-6 second 2k armor debuff (maybe allow ambush to allow your next special to ignore all armor?).

Does evasion now decrease the chance of hitting with blind since it is a physical attack? Or is evasion not even a thing to worry about.

Correct, Evasion increases a rogue's chance to dodge evasion by 25% (seeing as how it's handled as a ranged attack).

Yeah, some sort of vulnerability effect for physical/magical debuff would be nice, like improved kidney shot.
But I'd be a lot happier if they'd fix our scaling, CD issues and mobility.

Are we sure on that? Maybe I was just incredibly unlucky, but I've gotten "miss" twice with Blind, and I have 17% chance to hit. Are we sure Blind doesn't use a different mechanic?

Ein used the wrong word- evasion causes a miss not a dodge when dealing with ranged attacks. Ranged attacks cannot be dodged.

Apologies to revisit something brought up pages ago; I think I read every post completely, but did not see specifics on the following:
Lvl 70 vs. lvl 70 (ie PvP), the max hit needed for specials is 5% = 15.77*5 = ~80 Hit Rating. However, is this *with or without* 5/5 Precision (i.e. an inherent +5% Hit before gear bonuses)?
I am a PvE rogue by trade, and all the +Hit discussions there typically give the two values of % miss with/without Precision....
