Hello,

Sorry about the delayed reply. I tried it; and totally totally failed.

Like we REALLY bombed. Lost 15 games in a row. We went back to kiting the mage like we were attempting before and we managed to salvage our rating back to what it was before. Man I don't know what I did wrong when we tried this new stuff but it just did not work out at all for us.

Edit: Sorry I cut it short earlier. Basically it went like this every time:

I come out of stealth, cyclone mage, he goes after second class, cyclone, cyclone, roots, roots, but usually the second class kites rogue into LOS where he would just get sheeped until immune, then frost nova'd. When he went after the mage first, the mage would just sheep him to get away, and or frost nova him til his cooldowns were gone while the second class would come after me.

I have a friend with a 2,100 rating rogue/druid (also a shaman on the roster). They simply stop queueing when they get the nasty combo teams (warrior/healer, ice mage/ice mage). It sounds lame, but it really seems to be a large part of a lot of high rated teams, especially in the smaller brackets where class make up can mean so so much.

I play a feral druid/MS warrior. We just play for fun and don't really expect to get to a high rating. The other day we came up against a double frost mage team and all they did was poly my partner and kite me with 500 damage ice lances and rank 1 frostbolts. I tried to LoS them as best as I could, but they still were able to get off quite a few of their lances. Add in the occasional nova + double icelance they just wore me down. It was really very very frustrating. I really do hate Ice mages! Especially playing on a melee team =).

I would suggest that if you were 50/50 with wins and losses, change the NS cyclone from the start to NS + heal when needed and it might shift the odds in your favor slightly more. But as with most 2v2 teams, it really does simply come down a lot to set up. If you find yourself against tough combos several times in a row, it might be better to just requeue in 30minutes.

My old 2v2 got to 2,000 rating last season, i had about 100 resilience (we started very late in the season). All we did is repeatedly try and get X/rogue teams as for us, those were just free points. It was cheap..but hey =) It worked!

There is light at the end of the tunnel.
The only problem is, it's often an incoming train.

I haven't done any 2v2 since I was full combat spec but what my druid partner and I figured out for 2 frost mages was pretty simple. With the mages trying to kill him he would just go bear with his 250odd res. It's reasonably easy to put a frost mage into iceblock. Once you do theyre dead. Just NEVER switch when one iceblocks. Hang out there and wait while the other mage tries desperatly to kill you or your partner with pathetic frost damage :P have the rogue either sit directly infront of the mage or try and bait an immeadiate blink which instantly spells doom. 2 ice mages have no healing. As soon as you get one to block it's generally done. Having surefooted/the resist snare meta gem helps. I'm interested in trying the combo again now that I have 29+% chance to avoid nova and coc. 39% should be even more entertaining.
