The whole feeding team problem is very lame. If I understand the problem correctly it would be pretty easy to fix for future seasons:

1. Put a 1 week CD on joining/leaving of arena teams such that you can only make at most one switch a week.

2. Just freeze the forming of new teams, and joining of any preexisting teams for the last 2-3 weeks of the season. Perhaps limit this to teams rated 2000+ so it doesn't affect the "casual" arena teams that add/remove members each week just to get some weekly points.

Would be relatively easy to implement I'd think and not a big inconvenience for the vast majority of WoW population.

I've been dealing with 5 minute queues by farming the new 20 hit food in Nagrand. I can't even conceive of how annoying 13 minute queues are...that's enough to completely lose focus after each match.

Queues are the main reason I didn't even have a 2v2 team this season. They just need to find a way to up their instance server potential for 2v2 in particular to accommodate way more games at the same time. Assuming this is the problem, anyway - it seems like the most intuitive reason as to the queue times, but maybe it is some other technical issue.

The worst queue times have consistently been during "peak" hours. On BG9, Nov 25th (Sunday) I remade a team and faced 5+ minute queues past ~3pm. The next day (monday) at ~11 am, queues were sub 1 minute.

#2 is already unworkable isn't it? Even if #1 is implemented at the same time as #2, Mr Personal-2000-Rank transfers his character to a new account not thinking that counts as a server transfer and wipes out all of his arena totals for season 3. An innocent mistake, maybe, but now he can't rejoin his team for one week due to the cooldown penalty. In addition, if its the last 2-3 weeks of the season he's locked out permanently (for that Season) from playing with his friends.

That's exactly why I won't bother much if at all next season, maybe on my warlock to get his weapon if he needs the help. The most annoying thing is waiting 4-5 minutes to get into a match against your counter team. Yeah, I wanted so much to waste 5 minutes to get in, 1 minute of prep, and just to know I'll be losing as soon as the gates open. We lost ~80 points on my priest's 2v2 due to bad matchups and I just decided I didn't care enough to requeue again to see if we could get a matchup we could win every 5 minutes.

Interesting post on the WoW-Europe forums I stumbled across a link to while the servers were down today regarding the arena rating farming - WoW-Europe.com Forums -> Win Trading

I guess there goes any kind of argument that Blizzard does not have the moral right (even if the ToS and EULA give them the absolute right) to do anything about this because they did not say they would earlier. But again - there is a blanket statement in the user agreements that covers any form of exploit of game mechanics, design flaw, ect, so they do have the grounds and the "reasonable person test" would probably result in the same conclusion. They knew what they were doing went exactly against the nature of the arena system, and they did it just to gain an edge over other players. Delete their characters IMO.

Dont delete the characters. Suspend their accounts for a month....

Shrug, 2275 in 2v2 on Rampage and no Gladiator. Blizzard's system is as transparent as an oil-soaked rag.

Yeah, there's complaints all over the official forums and arena junkies. Tons of reports of lower rated people getting gladiator while people in gladiator range get duelist, rival, or no title at all.

2337 3v3 on Shadowburn and only duelist title. But from all the posts its probably just a bug like last season.

They are doing some kind of hotfix for titles this morning.

Were any of the teams that wintraded/slingshotted reprimanded or sanctioned at all? I saw that the 3k 3v3 team got banned, but beyond them?

My theory on the titles is that they were given out based on old information.

Looking at the wowarmory page earlier this morning, it looked like the data displayed was a few days out of date. This is my best guess as to the reason. I just wish I knew how this was allowed to happen, seems like it'd be easy to code.

If it was out of date, it was at least a week. I'm guessing that they never changed the code from the originally announced end of season on 11/20. We got our rating up to gladiator range that tuesday night. We didn't get gladiator yesterday, but have it now.

I believe the two 2800+ 2s teams in our BG, plus the top 3s team (all win traders) had their teams deleted. However, the team that did get merc glad in 2s also win traded, they just weren't as noticeable about it (2550 instead of 2800). So blizz only got the blatant cheaters, and those who cheated a bit less got away with it.

Oh well. We got our title with no cheating aside from putting on SR once against a lock team from my own server (/who is perfectly legal!).
