I am a little worried about Premade vs PuG GY farming. Generally if I'm in a premade WSG, I try to be semi-honorable and convince my team not to sit in their GY and farm honor. We will sit below their respective GY and make sure no one goes riding past to grab our flag and hide as long as possible, but not GY camp. If these changes go through, I can't myself being able to convince them otherwise, having all spent 3 seasons of BG grinding for very small upgrades.

People don't stop rezzing now when they're being farmed, I don't see why this would change in the future. When you die, the game places you in the GY, and will rez you automatically. The path of least resistance is to sit there and take that rez. That's the path most people who don't know/don't care/etc will take.

If the campees don't rez, they can't get any honor. If they *do* rez, they at least have a small chance of getting one of the campers down and getting some honor. There's no penalty for repeatedly dying and rezzing, so it is in your best interest to rez if you are being camped.
However, I would be very surprised if GY camping came out to more honor/hour than a good premade doing quick stomps and requeues. Where you will see GY camping most is in PuG vs PuG where one side outgears the other.

Diminishing returns never really stopped GY camping in the first place. I remember many groups going 'camp their GY' in the last few years, so I doubt the GY camping would be any more of an issue then it is now. Most PUG's (That I see) don't play WSG for the honor unless it's the daily. People only go in when there's tokens required.
Generally you only get seriously camped at your own GY if you're fighting against a Pre-made. I personally haven't seen a Pre-made who isn't at least kind enough to get the flag capping over with as they stomp you in your face. At least there's an end in sight if it does happen.

Maybe with the HK diminishing returns gone, the old Southshore/Tarrenmil world pvp zerg can become a fun and rewarding pvp activity again.

If that (that being the ressurection of Hillsbrad PvP*) happens I think loads of PvPers (including myself) would be extremely happy. I've spent 2 nights during this week in Ironforge with a resto druid and it's not the same. I mean, we have fun, but world PvP is dead.
* Speaking of which, would a battleground based on BRM/Hillsbrad/Tyrs/Other epic or old world pvp areas be an option?
I mean, without having thought it through that well, I assume a battleground inspired by Hillsbrad or BRM could be quite cool?
Question is, what would the objectives be..
Sorry, I'll stop ranting.

That was my thought as well. Seems the change primarily rewards being where the action is, while some BGs (AB and EotS mainly) reward being where you need to be, regardless of the amount of action. If there's a choice between tactics and slaughter, most people already choose slaughter, and now they're rewarded for it as well.
On the bright side, bots will get a lower percentage of the total honor distributed during a BG.. Making it more worthwhile to actually play.

I'm sure Blizzard will adjust the honor gained per kill or the honor gained from objectives to account for any worthwhile attempts to "exploit" this change. I also believe that they will be doing something like a flag duration buff for WSG to stop the turtling. If they don't, then there's really no point to doing anything else but hang out in the middle.

Not likely, at least compared to a decent premade that can probably make 1k/hr. Res timers will slow the gain down pretty fast.

Might make capital city raids more popular, seeing as there'd be more targets worth honor in Ironforge/Orgrimmar than Southshore or Tarren Mill...

I was thinking along those same lines; roaming 5-mans throughout the world zones would quickly become more popular as well.

You might see high level/low level ganking go up too. Need just 15 more honor points? Fly outta shattrath and pick off a couple 65s.

I agree that a good premade will always make more honor, but nontheless it can be a fun alternative for bg's when you want a (short) break from them and still want to make some honor.

Nothing with the word "raid" in it is going to be made popular because of HKs without other changes, you simply get too few points per kill with enough people around.
