It seems random because you share it with friendlies in your group that are in range to receive honor for that kill as well. The more friendlies sharing your HK, the less honor you get.

One thing I noticed from PTR, Alliance were attacking and held both east and west when I took it, but when the sever crashed we came back with just west and it was still 42 possible tanks.

Already applied:
Level restrictions have been applied to Lake Wintergrasp. Only players level 70 or higher can count towards the tenacity tally or obtain the tenacity buff and get credit for victory or defeat. In addition, only players level 50 or higher will be able to use the portal to Wintergrasp.

Maybe if you organized 20 engineers into some kind of ridiculous sapping corps... but if you have 20 organized people, you are better off just ripping down the walls with supported siege anyways.
This gave me an idea. You could organize a group of engineers to fly down into the inner keep a couple minutes after the battle started, and blow up the keep door with engineering bombs. The health of the final door is relatively low compared to the other walls, but I couldn't find wall health numbers anywhere. Does anyone know how many engineers it would take to accomplish this in one fell swoop?

That would never work on my server. Just too much traffic to go unnoticed.

I'm betting it would still take 20+ Engineers and probably 5 minutes (assuming everyone just left you and your crazed engineering squad alone the entire time, which again, wouldn't happen.)

Unless you have 20+ Engineers with enough ability and coordination to completely control the inner courtyard from the defending forces and their guard support... Which at that point, do you really need the Engineering sapper attack to begin with?

I would not fly into the keep before the battle starts, but after it has begun. As the battle starts, there are many ppl in the courtyard, but they all run to the guns or out of the keep towards the Vehicle shops. If you then fly in from icecrown, you would find the main door completely undefended, safe some NPCs...

I guess if this would be done on a server a couple of times, Blizz would make it impossible...

If you haven't made a hole in both tiers of walls you get blocked by an invisible wall at the door.

Ed. This is on PTR sorry.

Like I said, still way to much traffic to pull that off outside of like, 5 AM or something.

I would say on average there are at a minimum, 10+ people in the inner courtyard at any time. To say nothing of the zerg shift from one section to another. All the traffic is funneled through that inner yard. All it takes is one guy to yell "RELIC DOOR!" and you are swimming in rednames.

It's also seemingly moot come next patch.
