I assume you're talking about this arena build: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
In my opinion, remove 2 points from Two-Handed Weapon Specialization and put in to 5/5 Bladed Armor for +75 AP (at 13500 armor) and one more point in to Dark Conviction for an extra 1% crit chance.

Was somewhat looking forward to a dual wield spec as an option next patch but looks like the killing machine and deathchill change for 1handers is staying. Unlike cold blood, only the mainhand will crit with these talents which greatly reduces the damage potential for dw frost. Frost strike is often hitting for under 1k with a one hander. Pretty terrible unless both weapons crit. Obliterate can still hit hard with the SoA relic but im sure it'll be changed and it's physical damage anyway. Guess they want everyone the same spec for pvp purposes to make balancing the class easier.

In my 2v2 arena team, which consists of a DK and a warlock. We both have good experience in arena, and in PvP. We are both geared, and wanting to know. When it comes to 2v2 arena with a DK/lock combo. What would be the best for the warlock to do to keep melee dps off of him, even when I have pulled all my strings to get him off, and my abilities are all on CD. Furthermore, What would be the best combo of specs for us?

I tried somes 2s with a friend of mine who ran affliction and predictably the dps all tried to gib my lock partner. I found very few times I would be their focus. Consequently, I geared myself a lot more towards damage than survivability.
It was a rough composition to run initially while my partner was still gearing up. He was just too squishy. Once he geared himself appropriately, we started doing a bit better. It wasn't unusual for our matches to end with him dead and his dots ticking on the two I'm desperately trying to tank and finish off. We had a much easier time against dps/healer comps or caster cleaves.
Your lock is going to need to be on the ball with getting fears off and using demonic circle in clever ways. As a DK you should able to put at least one of the dps on the defensive by applying a lot of pressure quickly. As you said, keep up with the deathgrips, chains of ice, and snares to trip them up.
If you can help it, don't wait too long to get into the fight. Pick a target and start applying pressure. You don't want to give them the time to approach your lock. In some cases, some 2s team will turn on you instead since you engaged them quickly. At least this way you can survive their damage with your cooldowns and you have the added bonus of freeing up your lock to fear and dps.
As far as specs go, a way to maybe control the fights as frost would be to try an AE fear them off your lock and if they trinket etc, then use hungering cold when they're togther to relieve the pressure. I preferred unholy myself as the constant pressure and AE snare from desecration was a big help.

Frost DK/Disc Priest/Arms Warr
Hello. I've been playing 3v3 with a Arms Warrior and a Discipline Priest for a while now, and we are doing so-so (winning 49% this time around). I can deal with losing, however, one setup in particular is kicking our asses from here to Bagdad, namely Priest/Rogue/*. Usually it goes like this:
I get sapped, I then wait in despair for Sap to fade or for priest to dispell. By this time the warr is on their healer or a weak dps (rogue/lock). (I am aware that my warrior shouldn't rush in once I'm sapped, but rather wait it out. However the reason he/we charge them is to enter combat as soon as possible.)
Whenever Sap fades, I unfailingly get feared (having no runic power to pop AMS nor IBF) and after that the constant CC on me continues. Blind, Fear, CoI, Freeze, etc. I could pop DnD early combined with HoW to gain enough RP to pop AMS/IBF but that will mess things up as I often need to use DnD near the healer where the rogue is prone to be lurking.
Popping lichborne early gives me the edge on a priest but keeping the rogue off of my priest is hard enough even then.
Basically, I chose this frost build for its extra CC, but I don't seem to ever get around to using them before our healer is dead. Am I completely missing something? Would be eternally grateful if someone with experience from a similar situation would give me some hints.

Blodalv - Best thing to do vs priest/rogue/x is simply to open up with Lichborne, make sure you have enough RP for AMS (in case of shackle), and charge in, with your warrior right behind you. If you get the opener and push it hard enough, they probably won't have as much time to CC because they need to focus on controlling and healing instead. On some maps it's really good to use DnD to get the rogue out, but on others you just don't need it if you charge in with Lichborne; opening massively on their priest will force the rogue out to help out, and then you can just switch to him and FS him to pieces.

This is a spec for a BG junkie (like I am): Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
It doesn't have any healing but it's resilient enough so your healer will have time to react.
There seem to be a few variations of this, some even without Howling Blast (which makes no sense for a BG).
Blood: Blade Barrier is a bit better than the slowish RP gain from Butchery or the rather small dps increase from Subversion. Blade Armor is excellent combined with Toughness from frost. You'll need to play this in frost presence for max armor and increased AP. (for me BA gives some 700 AP in heroics/pvp gear)
Unholy: Virulence is good because +hit helps all dps, especially HB and you may occasionally have someone trying to cure diseases. Anticipation is not that great but maybe a tad better than Vicious Strikes. Epidemic is there not so much for the damage as for the prolonged Chillblains frost effect. There's also synergy with IIT. Unholy Command is there to pull attackers off your healer (or to protect vehicles in WG or Strand) and also to help gather your opponents in a bunch for aoeing.
Frost: the aim is to slow down people as much as possible and doing good HB and Frost Strike damage. More FS against single targets. Hungering Cold
will do the same. You can trinket your way out of it but even trinkets have a cd FS gets enough fuel from IT glyph and Chill of the Grave. Lichborne is a must. Fillers: Killing Machine, Improved Frost Presence. After next patch there will be two extra talent points for this build if I remember right. Those I'd put in Dark Conviction (blood).
Glyphs: Could change HC to FS glyph but starting a fight with HC is just fun sometimes. Also could replace Horn of Winter with Raise Dead. Corpse dust doesn't cost much though. Only time you'll need a ghoul is when you need an emergency heal using Death Pact. Chains of Ice is tempting but the damage isn't enough imo.
I have no experience of arenas but I'd figure a blood spec might be better with fewer people however this build is good control-wise in WSG, Strand and occasionally delivering lots of damage in AV or WG (run to the middle of a group, use Death Chill for a critical HB hit, Unbreakable Armor/Icebound Fortitude and Anti-Magic Shell for protection, maybe
Plague Strike + Pestilence, Blood Boil, then HC. Take some distance, HB again. With some luck they will be slowed down and can't catch you. With a healer you may live to do it again
Things to look for in equipment or gems: +hit, crit, strength, spell penetration (doing practically only frost dmg may be a problem). Speed enchant for boots or +speed meta gem.

Ive been trying two different methods lately for setting up diseases. And i was hoping to get some insight from someone who knows how to pvp as a DK bcaz im typically a raider, im not used to having to use skill and adapt yet :P
Obviously, one method is to just IT and PS. I felt like ranged dps and healers could get away easier this way because i have to get diseases up and then SS to snare them with desecration.
What i tried instead of this to keep ranged dps/healers in my range is to just open without diseases and just pray that my SSs would put my diseases up bcaz of the glyph.
Am i an idiot for using SS without putting up diseases first? Should i use the first method for melee and the second one for ranged/healers? Any insight would be appreciated.

Being a raider might have you miss the use of Chains of Ice, which is basically a staple spell for most PVP deathknights - coupled with 2 points in Endless Winter it will put up frost fever on your target too.

That spec looks like a lot of fun! I might try it, i have never tried frost cause its heavy gear dependent (so i have always heard). I would like to comment staying in frost presence, your doing it cause of Blade armor. If you go blood you will get 15% increase dmg, thats got to be more than the attackpower you get from the increase armor. And you will get healing back for some of the dmg, i think you will gain dmg, lose the 2% dmg reduction but the healing gained from dmg will make up for this imo. Try running in blood presence cause i think it would be more benificial.

So, yesterday, I was looking at the new patch changes, and came up with this frost/unholy dw pvp spec that takes advantage of Obliterate crits, death coil runic dump, and hungering cold/ghoul for cc. This is a semi-pressure semi-burst spec.
What i noticed was that since they are balancing DKs for 3s and 5s, burst and face wrecking are removed.
Spec Link
I am thinking for this spec, you will need to ensure you are wearing around 20% armor pen, around 95 spell penetration, the rest of the gear will be strength and resilience.
Glyphs:
-Ghoul
-Hungering Cold
-Obliterate
Some points and reasoning:
1. Chillblains can be dispelled now, so no point in taking it.
2. Frost strike is nerfed, the Vengeful Heart sigil is nerfed too, so no point in getting any talent that improves frost strike, in fact, I am not even going to use it.
3. Frost fever can be almost dispelled by everything and their grandma, so any dmg increase due to frost fever is not as good.
4. Unholy blight is a buffed single target dot that works with death coil now, so its definitely worth it
5. You have hungering cold and ghoul stun as cc methods, this is going to be awesome, also you have shorter cd on death grip for peeling.
6. You have a 25% speed reduction snare with desecration, which is good enough.
With this spec, you will want a more bursty partner, and to be honest, your own obliterate should be able to put out 10k with the threat of tharssarian and crits on both weapons. Weapons u will want to use are slow/slow with high dps values.

DK PvP 3.2
As a DK who mainly did PvE specced unholy since the release of WotLK, I'm still fairly new to building a spec that works for PvP. After the talent changes in 3.2 I decided I'd go frost for fun - Even tho major nerfs make it not nearly as strong as it was in the 'glory days' (insert non-dk qq here).
Here's the spec I fiddled around and got.
Spec
The idea that I was going with was...
Use as many damage/crit increasing talents in frost.
Go for frost strike (I'll actually be taking that out. I should have a lot of points to play with after I get rid of Frost Srike b/c the only reason I went that high in the first place was to get frost strike)
Get Chillblains - again now that it's dispellable I might not want it
Hungering Cold - I hate it when I get frozen by another DK.. figured it's just annoying to everyone else.
I put points in blood just for extra dmg bonuses
And I scrimped as much as I could to get the speed increase (I know it's not a dmg bonus, but after having it for about 10 months I can't seem to live without it.
So tell me what's wrong with it.. Bash it, w/e. I just want feedback and I'm trying to learn.
Thanks guys

I was wondering what the new changes are going to do to the 0/17/54 Build? With the nerf to ScourgeStrike how are the builds going to look? Something like this Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft would be my guess but thats still 2 points floating. Mostly your just replacing Scourge Strike with Obliterate and now Unholy Blight seems like a good pvp talent for only one point. Anyone have any thoughts?
Just playing around with talents, If Scourge Strike isnt worth getting would we see any Hybrids like this 0/31/40 build - Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft. I dont know if the loss of going deep into unholy is balenced by Hungering Cold but would still be fun to try.
Comments?

It's been shown in the unholy dps thread that oblit seems to be pulling ahead of SS. However, in a PVP environment that changes slightly as you still want SS to proc desecration's snare. You could stick with oblit and use plague strike to proc the snare, but the value of desecration somewhat diminishes if the only time you proc it is when you apply diseases.
I'm trying out a variation of the 17/54 with my DK right now for bgs and it's so far playing out just the same as before 3.2. I haven't tested this with any rogue friends yet to verify it, but with the changes to unholy blight it is appearing to be as a physical debuff on unit frames. I don't know if this just my xperl displaying it as a physical debuff or whether it really is. What I'm wondering is if this talent has the ability to break rogues from clos vanishing. I haven't had any rogues try and vanish with me on them yet in BGs. Has anyone else noticed this or is able to confirm it?

Remember that the data showing Obliterate pulling ahead of SS is while wearing high-end gear with lots of Armor Penetration on it under ideal raid conditions. Scourge Strike might be worse under those circumstances, but in a PvP setting, you are going to want the armor denying properties of Scourge Strike being a magic attack over using Obliterate. And that's not even considering the AoE snare properties of Desecration.
I'm currently toying with two different versions of the 0/17/54 spec. A Offensive one. The point in Ghoul Frenzy is optional, and can be used for Unholy Command or as one point in BCB. Also been playing with a Defensive one, which is a variation of the old Unholy PvP spec. Full Magic Supression and AMZ to reduce incoming damage. For now, I have yet to decide which one I like. I'm probably gonna put together a Lock, DK (me), Disc Priest/Resto Shaman team to try and make a pressure magic damage team. Will let you know how I fair.
EDIT: Sorry, a small edit for a question. Does anyone know how Resilience affects Wandering Plague? That is, does it affect it as if the WP procs are "crits"?

Arena help
Im running 3s with Disc Priest and Ret pally, I have never done anything other than 2s so im new the whole 3s enviroment. But i like to think all 3 of us are Competent players, but wow, we got handled this week (our first week). Granted im sure our comp isnt the best but i only play this game as a way to keep in touch with my long distance friends. So im kind of stuck with this comp. None of us are even arena fans, more of the battle ground type of people but seems all the best gear you have to have arena ratings.
Anyway back to problem, Seems priets will get CC'd then i got focus fired. Once im down we really dont have much in way of dps. Ret pally has ok dps but its not the burst i can put down. Im not even sure what i should be expecting pally or priest to do.
Any comments would be appricated, until then i guess we will just hammer away at it until we find what works for us.

The problem with Priest/Ret/Dk is the lack of CC (unless you're frost) and a healing debuff. It's going to be extremely hard to get a kill combo off with the way healing is compared to damage atm. Going from 2's to 3's is a very rough transition. Communication is much more important, and without it you will lose. As with all things, practice makes perfect.
You should be focused on keeping your teammates alive, playing the support roll until burst is needed. Almost like a Boomkin in 2v2. Your paladin should be doing his thing, damage, the occasional heal along with support via Auras, HoJ, Freedom and Dispells. Getting an immolate off vs. a Destro Warlock can be game changing. The priest should be Mana Burning, Dispelling, and assisting with dps when a target is low. Don't go in with the mentality of making something go kaboom right off the bat, I'd play this comp almost like a durable RMP with deadly swaps. Just remember, you're the only person with an interrupt, and it's melee range at that.
If you and your teammates aren't pleased with the way the comp is going, Priest/Dk/Rogue is quite competitive.

So, I've been lurking here for a good while, and I've decided to come here in order to ask the viability of this spec that I currently cooked up.
0/45/26
The general idea in this spec I find is to open up with diseases, blood strike twice and then Obliterate and Frost Strike spam.
As well as having a ghoul to stun, hungering cold to either CC or as a desperate interrupt on a healer, and your regular tools to down a healer.
Currently, I'm working with 2 1h Furious Tier 1 axes, both of them 2.6 speed and RotFC on the MH while Razorice on the OH.
After seeing another spec like this, but one that takes advantage of death coil more, I figured I'd use Frost Strike, since, while it is nerfed, it can still be a damn pain if you crit with both weapons with a frost strike spam.
What do guys think? Perhaps I've been rolling in UH spec so much that I can't let my ghoul go, but I tried a different spec that went into HB and I didn't get the results I wanted.
Any questions, concerns or comments are much appreciated.

It seems like it's going to be really painful to kill people without 15% extra damage!!!! from tundra stalker.
All the control is good, but I would assume it's going to be impossible to oom a druid, or to every bring a prot pally under 60% from the low damage.
edit: This spec would probably destroy mage/rogue or rogue/ret, so depending on how many of those teams you face you may be able to dual spec it.
