[top]How to Submit an Article
[top]Introdution
This article aims to outline the process by which an article is submitted to the Theorycraft Think Tank. It does not give any information on how to write an article or abstract, simply the steps that take you from concept to product.
Note: this process is still under review.
[top]Submission Process
- Contributors wishing to write an article must apply to the Authors usergroup, and submit an abstract to a screening editor. To apply to the Authors usergroup, go to your User Control Panel page, select Group Memberships at the bottom left, select the Authors user group and click "Apply". Along with your application you must submit an abstract; this should be be PMd to the current screening editor. Applications without a supporting abstract will be denied.
- Screening editors: Wraithlin.
- For more details about abstract formatting and screening, see here: Abstracts
- The initial submittor of an accepted TTT article is the primary author.
- Accepted Authors will be able to post in The Vetting Machine sub-forum:
Authors should post either their abstract, or a first draft of their complete article in The Vetting Machine. At this stage the article will be edited and critiqued until it is ready to for the TTT wiki.
We hope to soon include a guide to Wiki formatting and the standard layout of TTT articles.
The editing process is yet to be formalized, we hope at least one editor will shadow each project, checking content, style, and accuracy.
- Once completed the Article can be posted in the TTT, but will have to be approved by a TTT editor before it is visible to the public.
[top]Secondary Authors
- If the primary author of an accepted article wishes for one more more secondary authors to support his article, particularly while it is still being worked upon in The Vetting Machine, then both the primary and the secondary author should PM one of the screening editors with the request:
- Screening editors: Wraithlin.
- Secondary authors are not required to subit an abstract.
