[top]Theorycrafting Think Tank
[top]Introduction
Welcome to the Theorycrafting Think Tank. The TTT is an ongoing project aimed at condensing the large amount of information available on these forums into an easy-to-reference, organized repository for the World of Warcraft raiding community.
Within the articles presented here you will find answers to most of the commonly asked questions about a variety of topics, including coverage of class/spec information, general theorycrafting data, and game mechanics. There are also many other topics of interest related to raiding and gameplay in general.
[top]How the Think Tank Works
The Think Tank is a wiki-driven system composed of community-created articles and books. Unlike most wikis, however, we have attempted to place some measure of control on the content that is published here in an attempt to maintain standards of accuracy, consistency and high quality. To that end a group of editors (drawn mostly from interested parties in the Benefactor and Patron community) are primarily responsible for the content that is published here. However, any registered forumgoer who has an article idea may still contribute and become an author for the Think Tank; for more information about becoming an author and publishing your article in the Think Tank, see
Article Creation and Submission.
[top]What the Think Tank Is Not
- The Think Tank is not WoWWiki. The information presented here is to focus specifically on raiding, theorycraft, game mechanics and other related topics. All other topics are best suited for other places.
- The Think Tank is not a forum, although like other wikis, discussion is expected to take place in an article. This is typically related to the article itself, and discussion of unrelated topics should take place on the forums in an appropriate thread.
- The Think Tank is not a place for speculation. Information presented here is checked rigorously for accuracy and consistency before being released to the public. That said, the game is always changing, and we do our best to stay on top of those changes.
