[Horde][Firetree] <Pie Chart> *25th US*: LF Druids and Exceptional DPS for Cata!
<Pie Chart> is now recruiting for Cataclysm! We are not only interested in recruiting members for the initial launch of Cataclysm, but also for the remainder of the expansion. We want to find players who are interested in becoming a part of our core for as long as possible, a commitment that would allow you to grow with us as part of our community, as we tackle what is expected to be difficult and fun content.
Our intention is that we will continue to actively raid 25 mans in Cataclysm. If this format appeals to you and you're looking for a guild that will remain committed to succeeding at this level with stability and dedication, then we could be the guild for you.
All Exceptional Players: Currently our recruitment is open to all exceptional players who want to join our community for the long haul. We'd like to be the best we possibly can be in Cataclysm, while adhering to our foundations (4 nights a week, quality over quantity while having fun).
More specifically, we might be interested in picking up the following:
1x Feral Druid: We're interested in getting a DPS Feral Druid with the capability to tank as needed. We want a player who really pushes their limits in all that they do, ranging from damage to utility to situational awareness. You should be competitive and aggressive, interested in ranking amongst the best for your role while also supporting and strengthening the success of our guild. The ability to tank is huge, given that at any junction, a fight could demand for a change up and we need a player who can adapt when the situation calls for it.
1x Restoration Druid: We're also looking to round out our Healing team with another Restoration Druid. Restoration Druids have gone through different phases as healers, but their strength has always been in their ability to raid heal effectively, and to do so with great mobility. There are certain expectations of a Restoration Druid, and for me, they aren't restricted to 5x Rejuv / 1x Wild Growth. I'm looking for a strong HEALER which means someone who can go beyond their max HPS rotation and make calls and land heals that help to save a raid and keep a raid supported. I need someone who is dynamic and motivated to be successful. With the impending changes to Restoration, I will expect any Restoration Druid of ours to seamlessly transition between Tank and Raid roles, with an effective use of CD's and various heals to successfully perform their role. You should be a good player, and to that end, it is expected that you will have a strong off spec to offer, alongside your healing ability.
1x Mage: We're looking to add an exceptional mage to our roster. We want a player who can really push the bar higher in not only DPS but also in utility and survival. The key here is that I want a player who is very explorative by nature, interested in trying new things, innovating with the mage tool kit to mesh with every new encounter. I want a player who can go beyond top tier DPS and provide us with intuitive and strategic support. Being a stellar DPS is one thing, being a superb mage is another.
1x Holy Paladin: Holy Paladins have been a staple of every healing team since Burning Crusade. We're looking for someone who is motivated and loves the art of healing. With the changes coming in Cataclysm, I need someone who is going to go out there and do everything they can to be as successful as they can be, as a Holy Paladin. This is in regards to play style, throughput, mana management, situational awareness during healing intensive encounters, and utility. Utility is especially important, as that has been a key strength of Paladins in this expansion, especially on several different Hard Mode encounters. I'm looking for someone who can and has mastered the skill set that a Holy Paladin boasts. Strong offspecs are encouraged and eventually expected.
1x Rogue: We have several rogues at the moment, but given the changing nature of their schedules, I'd like to have prospective skilled rogues apply to us. If you feel that you can be a top tier cutting-edge rogue, with the play style, attitude, personality, and commitment that it takes, then please apply. Rogues have always been a staple of melee DPS and will most likely continue to be as such. Their unique utilities give them a very specific niche in progression raiding and I expect this to be enforced in Cataclysm. If you are a player who is passionate about success, both on a personal and a guild wide scale, then you should consider applying.
1x Warlock: Warlocks have always been a strong corner stone of our raiding team, and I'd like to further reinforce them come Cataclysm. If you're an exceptional player or one with great potential and a competitive attitude, then we are interested in you. If you can provide the effort and enthusiasm it takes to be successful, then please consider applying. Warlocks have a wide variety of tools and skills to bring to the table and they have been a key to success time and time again. If you can surpass the requirements to do great DPS and can bring utility and eye opening tactics to the pot, then you might just find this to be the best environment for you and us.
1x DPS Warrior: We're looking for a stellar DPS warrior (Arms or Fury) who is also comfortable with changing up specs as needed. Between DPSing and Tanking, Warriors are a very important hybrid class who bring the best of both worlds. We expect that any potential candidate will aim to do the same, hopefully mastering or aiming to master all the tools and skills a warrior has to offer. You should be able to seamlessly and enthusiastically transition between Arms and Fury as DPS specs outputting competitive and impressive numbers, while simultaneously being capable of tanking should the need arise.
As always, exceptional applicants for any class are welcomed. If you feel that you can compete with or outperform our current members, we would love to hear from you. Some of our best recruits have been players who were the best in their guilds, but were stuck at a lower level of progression. (Players from guilds who couldn't kill Yogg normal, while we were on Freya+3 / Firefighter; Players who couldn't kill Lich King Normal, while we were 10/12 Heroic ICC). Exceptional players exist everywhere, we're not looking to only recruit from a very specific group of players. We brought a 8/12 Holy Paladin to our Heroic Lich King kill, so we are more than willing to work with the diamonds in the rough. We prefer them, actually.
About Us: <Pie Chart>
We are an endgame raiding guild that started two months prior to the release of Wrath. Currently we are ranked #1 on our server of Firetree (EST) and #25th in the US. We scored a 19th US Heroic Lich King kill, defeated Algalon and completed Heroic: Glory of the Ulduar Raider before 3.2 and have also completed Yogg0 and A Tribute to Insanity on Trial of the Grand Crusade (25):
- Heroic: Glory of the Ulduar Raider (25 Player): July 20, 2009
- Heroic: Observed: July 30, 2009 (46th US)
- Heroic: Alone in the Darkness: August 17, 2009 (34th US)
- Tribute to Insanity (25 Player): December 3, 2009 (140th US)
- Heroic: Professor Putricide (25 Player): March 12, 2010 (26th US)
- Heroic: Sindragosa (25 Player): March 19, 2010 (65th US) - Heroic: Lich King (25 Player): May 27, 2010 (19th US) - Heroic: Halion (25 Player): July 6, 2010 (16th US)
We raid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 7:30 PM EST to 12:30 AM EST. During progression we raid 4 nights a week, which generally gets trimmed down to 1 to 2 nights of raiding during farm content. With an average 20 hour raid week, we emphasize quality over quantity. We are interested in players that can manage their time well and remain committed and consistent. A certain level of independence and maturity is expected.
About You: The Future Member (Hopefully!)
Our priorities, as a guild, are to succeed and have fun while doing it. We enjoy raiding and feel that we have the most fun when we can play well and reap the rewards of trying hard as a team. Patience, a good sense of humor, and a competitive streak are all great qualities to have. In short, you should be a pleasant person with a motivated perspective.
A solid internet connection, a decent computer, and a working microphone are expected, as we do need you online, able to play at more than 8 fps and to communicate during raids. We also need you to maintain a 90% attendance rate, as we run a tight core and depend on every person to be reliable. We make an active effort to make sure that all members get a significant amount of raid time, so that we can rotate and stack as necessary but still keep things fair and fun.
In general, we are interested in players who take an enthusiastic approach to raiding, and really make an effort to improve their performance and contribute to helping the raid strategize for progression. Fight mechanics change and progression is entirely dependent on how quickly a raid learns to deal with the challenges in front of them. Being able to adapt quickly and maintaining high situational awareness is essential.
