[Horde][Balnazzar]<Skunkworks> US#81 - 2Night/wk - LFM 25s
Who we are:
<Skunkworks> is a guild for stellar players who cannot or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional, "hardcore" guilds. If you want to kill Deathwing, but your newly acquired significant other doesn't understand that, "fantasy thing" you do online, then we might be what you're looking for. We raided as <Casually Serious> for much of WotLK, but assumed the <Skunkworks> tag in the summer of 2010 to differentiate us from the many "Casual" and "Serious" guilds that populate WoW. We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-11 PST, even after patch releases and during progression races. That's right, just 8 hours a week. Accordingly, we run a tight (30ish) roster with the expectation that our members achieve near 100% attendance. The guild was formed to take advantage of some of the, "casual friendly" changes brought by Wrath of the Lich King, and we have successfully pushed the limits of what can be achieved by great players on a casual schedule. In WotLK we obtained the Celestial Defender, Grand Crusader and Death's Demise titles. We completed all hard modes in Icecrown Citadel including a US70 Heroic Lich King kill and a US87 Heroic Halion kill. We plan to continue continue with high-level, 25-man progression raiding on a limited schedule in Cataclysm. Progression nuts and bolts can be found at: WoW Guild Skunkworks :: WoWProgress - World of Warcraft Rankings and History. Loot is handled by /random with a "don't be a douche" clause, and loot council override. Balnazzar is a low-pop server centrally located with no queue, a surprisingly good economy, and a healthy battlegroup. Also feel free to visit our website at Skunkworks :: Balnazzar Who we expect you to be: Most of our raiders are older than the average WoW player and have significant work, social, or family obligations. If a free-for-all, X-rated, trolling environment sounds appealing, we're a poor fit for you. We are comfortable waiting for applicants who meet our demanding criteria rather than adding suboptimal players for a short-term fix. To be considered for a raid spot your "button pushing" skills must be exceptional. But additionally, you must demonstrate above-average intelligence, a thorough understanding of game mechanics, a high level of maturity, a strong command of the English language, and above all a complete and total lack of epeening, douchebaggery, asshattery, and anything else that would make you unpleasant to be around. We all get paid to deal with idiots, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well? We are currently recruiting exceptional players. If that sounds appealing and you meet our admittedly high expectations, then I can unequivocally promise you that Skunkworks will be the best online nerd experience you will ever have the pleasure of being a part of. How to apply: Apply via our forums (Skunkworks • View topic - How to apply! -- Raider). Private applications can be sent via PM to StormseerCS on these forums or Storm on the Skunkworks boards. Ez-mode Application Template: Tell us, as best you can and in whatever format you think will be most persuasive, why we should want you as a raider and guildmade. To be taken seriously, applications must include:
