About The Syndicate:
In early July 08, a small core of dedicated raiders parted ways with their casual guild, seeking to build a serious raiding guild. At its core, The Syndicate is a tight knit group of dedicated raiders focused on getting stuff done, but without spending 24/7 playing WoW.

The underlying goal of launching The Syndicate was to enjoy the high level content that WoW offers, but with a group of people who are fun to play with, through the tough and easy times. At its core, The Syndicate is a serious Raiding guild, however we only have 2 official raid nights per week. Due to this design, we expect our raiders to be incredibly focused and bring 100% so that we may accomplish in 7 hours a week, what many guilds do in 10+.

The Syndicate is not a "World First" guild, our focus is to enjoy the game and be continually progressing through new content and new bosses. That said, we will always be pushing the envelope on the content we are tackling, as its the challenge that drives us.

One Reason for our success is that we maintain a very small roster. For the last 2 months of Burning Crusade, we successfully raided each week with a roster of about 28 people. Due to our small size, there is a very high return on the gear that is distributed to our members, and we spend little time re-educating our raiders on boss strategies.

One seemingly rare feature of The Syndicate is our high value for Maturity, Professionalism and above all, Respect. We aim to fill the guild with Adults who are good human beings, capable of functioning well in a team environment. WoW is infested with selfish abnoxious kids, as such The Syndicate is our attempt at creating an Oasis and refuge for those who share our values.

Leadership:
The Leadership of The Syndicate is a solid group of four family members. Due to our close relationship in real life, all guild management is handled in a precise and unanimous manner. The result is a smooth guild environment that operates without drama.

Raid Schedule:
Official 25 man raids are Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 8:30pm to 12:00am EST.
10 Man raid attendance is not tracked, and these raids typically occur throughout the week.

Loot System:
For 25 mans we use the EPGP system, where we reward points for the time spent in the raid environment. 10 Mans use a /roll system with priorities for armor class/spec

Who are we looking for:
We want "like minded" raiders. As mentioned above, we expect our guildies to conduct themselves with good character at all times. The goal of any Syndicate member is not to get PURPALZ and be a god among noobies. Loot is meerely the product of our efforts, not the focus. It is our goal to be seen by the server community as a solid group of good players and good people, that serve as a valuable addition to any in-game effort.

While The Syndicate is a guild with a rather casual raiding schedule, and a high value for good character, we are also a Serious Raiding guild. Our members must be able to extract the full potential of their toons so that the guild can reach is greatest success. For those of you seeing this thread, just being on EJ is a great start. Make sure you have done your L2P before you apply.
