Zul'Jin
[Alliance][Zul'jin] <Blood Red Moon> Hunters and Priests (and Healers!)!

About Us
Greetings! Blood Red Moon (Zul'jin, PVE) is looking for healers (and some DPS) to fill out our raid roster as we continue to farm in preparation for the eventual release of Ulduar in 3.1. Our raid times are Sunday-Thursday 7pm-12am EST during progression, but for now are only for a small portion of that due to farming. Currently we have cleared all of the current content including Sartharion+3 (Twilight Zone).

(For a more detailed breakdown of our achievements, progression, and other raiding activities visit WoW Guild Blood Red Moon :: WoWProgress - World of Warcraft Rankings and History)

As the longest standing, most stable guild on the Zul'jin server, we have continuously improved our raiding team and have climbed to the top of Alliance progression. We are seeking individuals that not only want to be the best, but are looking to have a great time doing it. Many of our officers and members have been around since WoW was released and have been on Zul'jin the entire time. This experience gives us one of the best reputations you will find on the server. While our team takes raiding seriously, you'll see quickly that the atmosphere of our raids is incredibly open, fun, and efficient. We hunt for achievements and seek to clear quickly and neatly, but also know that it's just as funny to watch those who struggle with Frogger.

Our DKP is open-auction bidding run through GSDKP. A description of our DKP system, forums, as well as our WWS and general guild policies can be found on our website: Blood Red Moon

What classes are we recruiting?
In order of demand:
1. Priests (Any Spec)
2. Hunters
3. Rogue
4. All competent healing classes

All applicants should show that they can communicate above a 3rd grade level. We know this is the internet, but using 'lol' as punctuation and ridiculous abbreviations like 'ur', 'some1', and failing to form complete sentences will result in a very poor first impression. We take the time to read and respond to each application that is posted, so be courteous and make it easy (and enjoyable) for us to read.

As is the case with most guilds, we will take any applicant that is exceptional even if they do not belong to one of the above classes/specs.

What do we look for in an applicant?
Independence: You know where to find information about your class, how to analyze your own performance, and look to improve yourself at every turn. It isn't a burden for you to have plenty of consumables (even for farm content!) or to have your gear gemmed/enchanted. We provide full reimbursement for repairs/respecs during progression, but this isn't an excuse for not having a good supply of cash because you will eventually need it for something.

Personality: Out of raid actions are almost as important to us as raid performance. We have such a good reputation and have lasted this long because we do not tolerate drama or childish behavior in the public realm. Also, we like to consider ourselves a fun guild to be in, and those that don't like having fun or get offended too easily will not last long. You should always look to represent the <BRM> tag with pride by always playing your best regardless of the setting.

Experience: Experience raiding old content (the more the better) is a huge plus for us. Being able to tell and/or show us how you performed a specialized raid role ("I was awesome at kiting striders back in the day, here's a video!") will go a long way to proving you are a great player before we try you out. That being said, if you are a new raider in Wrath of the Lich King and have no idea what a Chromaggus or even a Gruul is, do not be afraid to apply. Anyone good at video games can be a great raider, it just takes effort on your part.

Gear: There are no minimum gear requirements, but you should be able to show that you are putting effort into your character. There are great upgrades from heroics and badges that are easy to obtain.

Skill: Again, our core raiders have been around a long time. We know what to expect from you, and you should know what your class is capable of. Great DPS numbers on Patchwerk are fun to look at, but in the grand scheme of raiding mean very little. If you can't move away from a wall of flame or out of a void zone do not apply. You should never make the same dumb mistake in an encounter more than once, and should never die to a mechanic you've seen before (there is fire, do not stand in the fire).

Dedication: We do not recruit rent-a-raiders. We're looking for players who want to be a part of BRM and love to raid. While you may not get in every single night, we maintain a bench with standby DKP and expect members to be online for every night (that's scheduled of course!).

Contact Information
Visit our website link above and navigate to our Applications forum to apply. If you wish to apply privately, PM your application (in the format from our forums) to me here, and it will be posted in our officer forum for review. Before you are brought in for trial, your application will be posted publicly and you will need to be unguilded.

Any further questions regarding the guild, the trial process, or the server should be directed to one of our officers:
Myself (Raid Lead), Daphne (Guild Lead), Haela, Kroquist, Tallirane, Panelli (Recruitment Officer), Izellah, or Emmee

On behalf of Blood Red Moon, thank you for your interest and we hope to see your application soon.

You pay for the whole chair, but you only need the edge.

Transfers have re-opened on Zul'jin. Looking to fill some more holes as the 3.1 PTR is released to prep for Ulduar.
