The list above depicts our current recruitment status
however we are always taking quality apps regardless of class.
The Guild & Expectations
Our first week of raiding and we have 1 drake sarth down with 20 people. 25 man Naxx clear on weds. Malygos and 3 Drake Sarth is up next.
About the guild:
Commotion is a newly formed PvE focused end-game guild on Silver Hand. The founding players are the best that Silver Hand can offer and have left prior guilds with the intent of creating a place where extreme skill is required for membership. If you can't play your class, don't mind if people don't play that well, and do not care about being the best in the server, this guild is not for you.
We can assure you that if you are interested in such things, you will fit in well. While the guild is new and we have do not yet have any claims to fame, our first priority will be getting the Black Proto Drake and will continue for such achievements and server firsts next content expansion. This is a chance for you to get in on the ground floor of an awesome guild that values high player skill and progression.
What you can expect from us:
You can expect us to maintain a fun loving raid oriented atmosphere with a focus on progression.
What we expect from you:
As an applicant to the guild you are expected to show up to raids prepared. This includes gear being enchanted, gemmed and otherwise itemized correctly for raiding. Coming to raids prepared also means bringing appropriate consumables like flasks/food/elixir. In addition we require our raiders and applicants to be well versed in thier class. This includes reading the class mechanics threads on the elitistjerks.com forums or another class affiliated forum. In addition to the raid related responsibilities listed above we also ask our applicants to be mindful that while wearing the <Commotion> tag you are acting as a representative of the guild. (Don't be an idiot in trade chat)
Fri Off Night
Sat Off Night
Sun Off Night
All times are server based (Server is PST). This schedule is subject to change as
content level increases in difficulty. Raid invites go out at 6:30 PM and actual
pulls begin at 7:00 PM.
We use a loot council system which consists of an officer for each raid role. Loot is distributed to players based on performance, attendance, and the amount of upgrade a new item will be. We also consider the amount of loot a player has already received. Get well aquainted with your designated loot officer so they know what you need as much as you do. Listed below are the officers and their position within loot council.
The Application Process:
The application process lasts two weeks. This process begins on your first raid with the guild; you must be guilded with us to begin your trial period. During this trial period you will be evaluated based on your raid performance and how well you get along with the guild. At the end of your trial period your application will be voted on by the guild. If someone votes no on your application they must state why. This voting process is private and can only be viewed by guild members.
The application process is by no means a popularity contest, however it is imortant that you as an applicant mesh with the rest of the guild. There is enough drama attributed to the raid scene as it is. That being said player skill is valued above all else.
Loot as an applicant:
Main spec loot will be given to members before apps. A member can pass to an applicant if they choose to. If a piece of gear is for off spec for a member, an applicant will have priority for their main spec.
Send a tell to Sympa in game or a private message to him on these boards. He is the recruitment officer and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
