About Us

<In Silico> is a hardcore raiding guild that expects 110% dedication and commitment from all of its raiders. Our guild leadership is built from CLs and GMs of retired guilds, and our GMs led the #1 Horde guild on Trollbane through quick progression pre-Sunwell. All of our officers are very knowledgable, dependable, and helpful.

In current content, we have all zones clear. We have recently cleared Sarth +2 drakes, and we are now working on 3 drakes. Once Sarth 3D is down, we will be farming the content and preparing for Ulduar, and expect any new recruits to continue to raid in upcoming content.

Exceptional applicants of any class will be considered as well. Our recruitment process includes an application thread which you will be expected to monitor to answer basic questions the officers or other guild members may have of you, as well as an interview via Ventrilo with your class lead and one or more GMs. All of our guild members have the right to review your application, and sit in on the interview (listening only in most cases), as the feedback of the raiders on an applicant is just as important as the opinion of the officers. You can be the best player in the world, but if your attitude sucks, and it's obvious you aren't going to mesh with us, we don't want you in our raids.

Raid Times and Requirements

We raid from 8 p.m. - Midnight EST, Mon-Thurs. 80% attendance over a 30 day sliding window is required to remain in the guild. If you go below 80% attendance, you will be placed in a probationary state. If you are on probation, you will need to get with a GM or your class lead and communicate what needs to be done to resolve the situation, or you will be asked to leave the guild. As a bonus, any member with 90%+ attendance over the 30 day window will be granted a VIP rank and a significant portion of repair money will be available from the guild bank for these members each night.

All raiders are expected to come to the raids every night will full knowledge of their roles in each encounter, full consumables, gold to cover repairs for the night, and anything else that is required for the events of the night. Members are also expected to show respect for your fellow guildies. If you are going to be late/absent, are having connection/computer issues, or having any other problem that prevents you from giving 100% focus to the raid, it is expected that you will communicate that to the appropriate channels so that you aren't wasting the time of everyone else.

Guild Attitude

Like most guilds, we do have a sense of humor and our conversations are far from serious and dry during casual times. However, when it comes to raid encounters, vent is expected to be clear of chatter and communication is expected to be quick and concise. If you have a problem with spending gold on repairing gear because we've been wiping all night, then this isn't the guild for you. We want players that understand that you have to earn progression, and everyone has to be willing to make sacrifices. All members should be able to take constructive critiscism, bad jokes, full nights of wiping on new progression encounters, and they should have a great, positive attitude the whole time. Obviously people are going to get frustrated, but the key is to not take that frustration out on your guildies and friends, and not to drag negativity into the raid atmosphere.

Loot System

Our loot system is fairly simple. We implement a Fixed Cost Zero-Sum DKP system. Offspec gear is rolled on by interested parties, and is DKP free.
