The Renegades of Funk are in the market for motivated and competitive individuals interested in progression raiding.
Our guild:
RoF was founded in the early fathoms of BC under the premise that raiding and progression can happen without the need of a military-esque hardcore environment. I suppose this has been easily sustained by the fact that the majority of guild members are friends and have been for years - a number of us have been playing together from even before WoW. To help promote our friendly environment we don't just look at statistics and experience when it comes to recruiting new members, but we look for new members that are successful players and raid with an heir of maturity.
Our leadership is comprised of very experienced raiders and raid leaders who have been through the grit and grind of some of the most challenging raids that the game has had to offer. From Pre-BC Naxxramas to pre 3.0 Sunwell, our leadership has a strong understanding of the raiding game and what's more is that we have the experience of leading hardcore raiders through challenging encounters. We're not hard-asses, nor are we partial to yelling or pointing fingers in raids that only add to frustration. Our means of solving individual mistakes or overall failures are always calm and concise, and ultimately effective. At the end of the day we're all here playing a video game - I'm playing it to have fun, not to freak out.
Our raid times are at 7:00 PM weekdays, starting on the Tuesday. At the moment we are taking our time to build a core raiding team that we would feel comfortable taking into Ulduar. However, don't be waned by the idea that we don't have a complete team as we are farming all 25 man content on a weekly basis with a co-raiding guild. Our raids are very organized and effective with little time wasted. I don't believe we raid more than 5 hours a week. Of course that would change when new content is released, but there's no need to strain ourselves considering how easy the current stuff is.
Prospectivee Members:
Well if it isn't obvious enough, we're looking for raiders. That's people who understand at the very least the basics of raiding. The basics being that raids are a communal effort, everyone involved is putting aside time from their real lives to be there. And by respecting each other's time and effort we can achieve quick kills and be on with our day.
Now most people would probably say at this point that they're looking for players who know their class inside-out and are on top of damage or healing meters - and all of that is fine, who wouldn't want raiders who strive to be the best? But honestly my first priority is attitude: You can be the best raider in the world but if you exude selfish behavior, are disrespectful to your peers and officers, are easily upsetted when you're asked to pass on loot for legitimate reasons, or anything else in the spectrum of being generally annoying - well then we're not interested. You can take your phat deeps and shove it.
I'd rather find a player who is friendly and has the dedication to better their performance/gear with the help of the guild.
However with all of that said, if you exhibit general incompetence, have a hard time learning new things, buckle under stress easily or can't grasp things quickly then I'd recommend that a raiding guild is not the sort of place you want to be in.
Finally we're looking for players who enjoy being in a guild. People who partake in more than just raids and are active members of the guild's community. High attendance for raids is a must, and I respectfully ask that you have your real life in order before you consider joining the guild. If your girlfriend doesn't know you play WoW and you have to disconnect in the middle of a raid to hide it from her, then maybe you should stop playing all together, or man up and tell her you like to play videogames with strangers for hours on end.
