Trismegistus is a 25m raiding guild with a long and successful history on Medivh (US-EST). We have a history of progression on Medivh dating back several expansions, being the first and only alliance guild to kill
Kil'Jaeden (pre 3.0), in addition to being the first guild to kill end bosses such as
Yogg Zero-Lights and Lich King (25m Hardmode)--- a
US 57 Heroic LK kill, in fact.
If you are interested in consistent progression with a proven guild, but can't stand drama and yelling, Trismegistus might be the guild for you. We run with a proven leadership squad, and while we do emphasize execution and expect all members to be on top of their game (and potentially be called out if not), we also emphasize mutual respect and camaraderie.
While progression and defeating hardmodes are important to us, we have decided to do so on a "relaxed'' three-night/week schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), running from 8EST to 12 (raids start forming before 8pm so that we are ready to start pulling at 8). Except in very rare circumstances we do not extend to extra raid times on these days. However, we do occasionally raid on Sundays, although these days are not considered required as the MWTh raids are.
While remaining a progression centric guild fully capable of achieving our goals, we emphasize quality raiding over quantity. This is your chance to be a part of a great group of individuals who have grown together excelling at playing their class.
Qualities Desired:
We are only interested in exceptional players who can play their class to the fullest of its ability. Successful applicants will rarely miss raids as we maintain a roster of approximately ~30 members, take constructive criticism well and be capable of playing multiple talent specializations at optimal performance. Applicants are expected to have a reasonable start on gear, at the very least having the relevant exalted professions, heroic items, and ideally some Cataclysm raiding gear/experience. Finally, a desire to complete raid centric achievements, including hard-modes, is a must.
Class Needs:
Currently looking to round out our roster by adding a small number (2-3) total players to keep us at our optimal size of about 30 members.
We are open to any gifted players regardless of class.

Other Information:
We run a very balanced and fair loot council system that encourages people to bid on off-spec items, ensures that items go to the players and classes that can use them, and generally discourages "hording'' behavior of any sort.
As noted above, we do not carry a large roster, so all recruits will see play time, although of course it will be less than that of full members. Additionally, we make frequent swaps in and out of raids to help get all players into raids and be sure players get the loot they need (subject to composition requirements of course).
