About Us

Sanguine Prophecy was formed in June of 2006 by a small group of friends from another MMO. The nature of our inception means that we are above all a community, one that has continually added to its core over the years, as we developed into a serious raiding guild in BC. We try to keep a very balanced perspective on the game as a whole - we seek to raid successfully and efficiently, and have fun doing it.

We have typically kept our raiding roster very tight, which means with the natural attrition of real life we are always on the lookout for exceptional applicants of most classes. With Ulduar upon us, we have a few class needs in particular to ensure an optimal raid composition each night.

Pre 3.1, we cleared all content including 3-drake Sartharion on both normal and heroic.

At present, we have cleared up to Yogg on 25 man, and regularly clear four hard modes on the 10 man while working on more.

Schedule

We raid Monday through Thursday, 7-11 CST (server time). We fully understand when work, family, or social concerns come ahead of raiding, and our attendance policy is that all raiders are expected to post in advance on the forums if they will be late or absent. With that said, it is expected that applicants will regularly be able to commit to 12-16 hours each raid week.

About You

It should come as no surprise that we are looking for exceptional, intelligent players. It should be emphasized, however, that we are looking for raiders to become part of a community of friends. Ultimately, the game's rewards are transient, and its challenges quite limited. What keeps the game enjoyable is the people you play it with. If your drive to raid comes down to seeing yourself in the fanciest armor first, you should definitely look elsewhere.

You should be highly competitive about your role, without being arrogant. You should always be looking for ways to perform even better, to maximize your character and your contribution. We're looking for the type of person who pushes to be the best at their class - a person who is driven both by seeing anyone outperform them, and by doing even better each week - who looks hard for any improvements they can make to their rotations, their gear, their UI, who discusses their class thoroughly with others.

And while we're looking for people serious about their role, dedicated to their performance, you absolutely must have some sense of humor to survive long or enjoy it here. Our best initiates have been those that fit in rapidly socially, that were active in guild chat and activities outside of raids, and gave 100% when raid time started. Again, we want to enjoy playing this game with you, or we might as well be pugging.

Class Priorities

As stated above, we are always interested in exceptional applications from any class, and will pursue them as roster needs dictate. If you feel you the guild could be a good fit for you, we strongly encourage you to apply. At present, we are particularly interested in:

Arms Warrior
Hunter
Unholy DK
All DPS classes (The above are simply classes we have 1 or none of, but we are seeking to add several DPS to our roster)

Please apply on our forums, following the Guidelines and Application Outline provided here. A thoughtful, well-written application is a crucial first step to becoming a part of this guild. We take membership very seriously, as an ideally permanent commitment to a community of players and friends. Applicants that show promise will be invited for an initiate period, during which members will closely review their performance and interaction.
