About Us

vodka is a high end raiding guild with a history of top-five U.S. kills and have been on the progression radar since AQ40. We are constantly trying to improve and are looking to fill a few holes in our roster for hard-mode Ulduar bosses. Our members strive to be the best at our respective classes and work as a team to overcome the newest and the hardest content. Guild chat and Ventrilo are friendly with good-natured joking between members. During progression raids, we push to be as productive as possible.

About You

Overall, we are looking for individuals who can fit in with the competitive and dedicated raiding core, and contribute as soon as they join while we push the bleeding edges of content.

Ideal applicants are players that know their classes inside and out. Applicants should be self motivated and be constantly trying to maximize their performance. Progression can be grueling and frustrating at times. More than anything, applicants should be able to keep going through tough encounters or raids with a positive attitude and be open to criticism (and take it constructively). Be able to explain and defend gear and enchantment choices, as well as aspects of your play. A microphone and good communication on Ventrilo is also required.

Class-specific Notes

We are currently looking for the following classes:

Balance Druid - We are looking for a Balance druid who knows the class inside and out. Our caster DPS are very competitive and ideally we'd like to see WWS reports of you keeping up with Mages/Warlocks in Ulduar.

Rogue - We need another rogue. Please be good. Ideal applicants show great class knowledge, good attitudes, and impressive WWS parses.

Healers - Holy Paladin and Holy Priest - We are looking to pick up healers to expand our healer core. It's hard to measure healing contribution, but here are a few things we are looking for in our healer applicants.

Great situational awareness. Can you avoid every Ground Tremor while healing through massive raid and spike damage? Can you avoid void zones/icicles/sunbeams/fire in your sleep? We like seeing Gladiator titled healers for this reason.
Does your assignment die? Hint: it shouldn't.
Are your gear/spec choices intelligent and can you defend them?

Schedule:

Our raid schedule is marked with many long weeks of raiding one or two nights each week, followed by a few intense weeks of raiding seven night a week as we speed through progression content. At the moment, we're in the 'intense' part of our schedule - raiding every night starting at 6:30-7pm EST, and ending whenever enough people have to leave. Flexibility during key progression nights is very important. The hours we raided to kill Yogg-Saron were absurd, and while our schedule will likely be slightly less intense as we work on encounters that are harder to zerg down, there will be days that we want to start, for example, early on a Saturday afternoon or run very late on a Friday night.
