[Alliance][Cenarius] <Unreasonable> Adding People for the Ulduar Hard Mode Push
Our Current Progression:
Yogg-Saron down. (during week 2) We're happy to have anyone app, but we are <Unreasonable>, so if we feel something isn't quite right, even if we can't quantify it, or we just plain decide we don't like you, you'll get cut. However, if you do fit in, play your part, and become part of the team, we'll do what we can to help you, treat you fairly, and integrate you into our tight-knit raiding team. <Unreasonable> is named for the common response we used to get from people we raided with. This was usually in conjunction with some request such as "enchant your gear", "bring potions to the raid", "where's your flask?". <Unreasonable> prides itself on efficient raiding. We have limited time due to family and work obligations, which means we seek to cut back on avoidable mistakes. That doesn't mean we one shot new encounters, but it does mean we put time into working on the problems and building comprehensive strategies, and then executing them flawlessly. Raid Times Progression Raid Times: Sun-Thur: 7:30-11. We pull at 7:30. We form the raid around 7. Farm Raid Times: W, Th, Sun: 7:30-11. 10-Man Raid Times: While the guild doesn't ensure you a place in a 10-man raid, we encourage groups of friends, and people in the same time zone to form 10-man teams, and raid at hours that are convenient, using people in and out of the guild if needed. How to app. If you've made it this far, then you're ready to app. What you'll need to do is PM me on these boards, and then compose an email to: unrecruit@gmail.com The next section will detail what goes into this email, but be advised that all or parts of it may be posted for the entire guild to see and comment on. Composing your Application E-Mail What we're looking for is how well you can express yourself, in addition to your qualities as a raider, and your skills as wow player. Since we're looking to be spending some considerable time together, it's important that we spend some time up front and get to know each other. Your E-mail should include the following: -Your availability for our raid times. -Your reasons for wanting to join the guild, guild history, or other information you consider pertinent to helping us understand your level of commitment, experience, and desire for playing with a high end raiding guild. UI: Attach a Screenshot of your UI (in a raid setting) showing: keybinds, raid frames, target, target of target, target of target of target, focus, focus target, all applicable cast bars. Do you use Quartz? (If not, explain what you use for cast bars, and how you time your spells.) Which threat monitor do you use? (If you don't use one...I have some bad news for you) Do you use DBM? (The guild expects you to use DBM) Do you use oRA2? Please explain how you assist, either focus/macro/tabs. In addition, you should let us know about your 1337 WoW skillz, including, but not limited to: (NOTE: Do make sure you touch on each of these points, use whatever format you want, or lump things together, but don't feel the need to make bullet points.) Theorycrafting: What is the +hit cap? Rank hit, crit, damage, stats for your class. Looking at WWS, suggest 3 ways you could improve your DPS/Healing/Tanking. What specs would help you most in the raid? Class Knowledge: We don't have "Resto Shamans", or "Arcane Mages". We have what the guild needs. If that means that something silly like speccing Frost with some Arcane and leaving 5 talent points empty even though your name is "FireMcMage", then so be it. We also expect any class that can heal, to heal. If you're a hybrid, and you've never healed, don't even bother, you're missing out on a vital role that you may be called upon to fill, and your gear should be kept reasonably up to date for any role you can fill. Loot: Are you OK with a Loot Council? Name the 3 items from bosses we can currently kill that would help you the most. For each of those 3 items, what other classes/specs could use them, and for whom would the raid as a whole benefit from getting the item the most. For each of those 3 items, name 3 alternate items on upcoming bosses, crafted, or otherwise attainable that would be "good enough". Raids: Do you have a child, dog, parrot, or some other thing that would pull you away from raiding/cause AFKs? Are you able to contribute to guild efforts to help craft gear? Do you have Ventrilo and a working Microphone? Are you willing to talk on Ventrilo? Do you know what push-to-talk is? Other/Personal Would you be willing to respec if asked by the raid leader? How old are you? Note: our average is like, over 30 by now, sheesh we're getting old, we swear, we drink Are you in a relationship, if so, does your significant other play? Do you have any high level alts (This is actually very important, as we'll be looking to do multiple raids eventually. Be warned that that means we do multiple raids to gear our mains better and faster, not to gear your alt anymore than is needed)? Finally, mention anyone you know in the guild, and, if they're willing, whether they'd recommend you. |
