Contempt

If you're reading this thread you are looking for a guild that is not like your current guild. You're looking for a serious group of raiders that don't like to waste time with people that cannot perform or dedicate themselves to consistently show up to raids. You're searching and striving to be number one.

History

Contempt was formed from a group of people on the Blackhand server towards the end of the Burning Crusade. A group of people that were tired of settling with people that played this game casually, people that never showed up to raid prepared, and didn't care to, or were just in general bad players. This group of people broke off from their guilds and created Contempt. They went on to kill Kalecgos through Mu'ru a few weeks after forming, and on the progression push following the release of Wrath of the Lich King, took realm firsts for 3D Sartharion and six minute Malygos.

In Contempt, we strive to be number one. Our guild has been the first to achieve such achievements on our server as: Heroic: Make Quick Werk of Him, Heroic: You Don't Have an Eternity, and Heroic: The Twilight Zone. We killed Yogg-Saron within a week of our first pull, picking up server firsts all along the way.

Our raid dps consistently parses top 100 WWS reports. Our raiding dps not only tries to out dps their competitors in raid and against other WWS parses, but always tries to beat their own records each week. Our tanking and healing cores are also some of the best around.

Requirements

You must be the type of person that spends time reading about your class. You know what consumables are best for you, and you take the time to be sure you have more than enough in your inventory. You don't need to be told what gear is best in slot. You take it upon yourself to improve your character to it's maximum potential, and do your best to out perform our expectations every raid. You show up to raids without incentive because raiding is your incentive, and you enjoy helping out your fellow raiders. You don't die on simple boss mechanics such as Heigen dance, Thaddius polarity shifts, void zones, flame walls... But most of all, you look for a challenge. Adversity and encounters that test not only your ability, but the ability of your raid group is what fuels your desire to play. Perfecting and outperforming these challenges sustains your interest. You *do not* back down from difficulty, you anticipate it.

-Tuesday, 7pm to 11:00pm (EST - Server Time)
-Wednesday, 7pm to 11:00pm
-Thursday, 7pm to 11:00pm
-Sunday, 7pm to 11:00pm
-Monday, 7pm to 11:00pm

Current Needs

We are currently looking to replace some weak spots in our raiding roster. Please note, that Exalted Hodir/Best enchants and a WWS report is a requirement. If you are not exalted with Hodir, using bad enchants on your gear, or think Herbalism/Mining/Skinning is a raiding profession, then please don't bother.

Paladins
Ranged DPS
