Who we are:
Edge is an Alliance raiding guild on the U.S. server of Garona. Edge was formed on December 20th, 2006 with the intent to pursue end-game content to the fullest and have a good time while doing so. We are comprised of veterans from other MMO’s and talented newcomers alike and boast a mature and intelligent membership. We have a light raid schedule compared to many high-end guilds, roughly 16 hours per week, and as such we constantly strive to maximize our time and raid as efficiently as possible. We raid smarter, not harder. When we aren't killing bosses, you will find us doing arenas, premade battlegrounds, pulling off headshots in Counter-Strike, healing spies in Team Fortress 2, playing on xboxlive, and various other activities around the internet.

Progression:

In The Burning Crusade we claimed 4 server firsts in Sunwell. Pre-3.0 server firsts included Felmyst, Twins, and Mu'ru. We claimed the server first on Kil'Jaeden Post-3.0. Currently in Wrath of the Lich King we have claimed server first clears of Naxx25, Malygos25, Sartharion25 +3drakes, Sartharion10 +3Drakes, Yogg-Saron25, Iron Council Hardmode, Thorim Hardmode and other assorted achievements.

Normal Ulduar 13/14. All hardmode are done except for Mimiron, General.

Skill and Motivation:

Being a part of Edge means you have the drive to be on the bleeding edge of progression on Garona and you are going to play your class to its maximum capabilities. We expect you to know your class inside and out, be informed of boss strategies, and excel when in action. If you come to raids unprepared and playing poorly, you are not living up to our expectations. Know your class, know the fights, and be prepared to be awesome when you come to our raids.


Recruiting

We are looking for exceptional players, Exceptional means that you not only excel at your individual role but can observe, analyze and problem-solve to help improve overall raid performance and strategy.


Qualities we look for in players:

Analytical - Always looking for ways to improve their own performance and contribute to overall raid optimization and strategy.

Competitive - As an individual, but more importantly you want to see bosses die. Selfish meter chasers who put individual performance over the good of the raid need not apply.


Aware - Tunnel vision will get you killed at best and wipe the raid at worst. Exceptional situational awareness is a must.

Social - Interested in participating in guild activities outside of raids. From instances to pvp to bizarre guild chat, we want people who enjoy playing and enjoy each other’s company.

We are currently looking for Dps warrior, Prot Warrior Elemental shaman(enhance offspect is bonus), Warlock



Loot:

Edge uses a loot council system decided by officers for the distribution of our loot. Our intent in end-game raiding is to progress as quickly and efficiently as possible in the time we have each week and loot is distributed upon factors including raid benefit, attendance, performance, and player benefit. We try to involve each member in the loot council system by having “loot lists” where each member finds their best in slot and major upgrades and rank them in terms using the available spreadsheets and models. We take the time to read the math and theorycraft behind these to make the most informed decisions as possible and it is our hope you invest the time to take part in the system by making one.

You shouldn’t be in this solely for the loot. You will win some and you will lose some, but we will do our best as officers in making informed and fair calls while removing the negatives that plague fixed and auction DKP systems.


Consumables & Repair Bills:

On progression fights, the guild bank will help provide consumables and fully cover repair costs. We don't supply everything you will need 100% so you will still need to farm up consumables on your own time as well. Once content is on farm for a set period of time we stop paying your repair bills. The guild bank is here to help alleviate and remove the costs of raiding, just don't forget to contribute to it when you can.


Attendance and Raid Times:

We want our active raid members to be able to maintain an 80% attendance with us. It’s impossible to make every single raid and we don’t expect you too, but when you do miss, we want you to give us a heads up in advance. We know real life hits like a truck at times and we always try to do the best we can to work around it with you, but remember that we depend on each of our raiders to raid so please give us a heads up when that truck hits you. It will be very rare that we ever push the raid beyond the finishing time as we usually choose to call raids early unless we are very close to a boss kill. Form-up is at 7PM CST on the dot on raid nights.
