[Alliance][Aerie Peak] <Drunken Bandits> LF Healers and DPS (5-8pm PST)
About Drunken Bandits
Drunken Bandits is serious casual guild on the Aerie Peak server. We are a group of mature, like minded players who want to move forward with progression but also have a good time while doing it. We are not the best guild as far as progression goes on our server, it has never been our intent. But we are a solid guild with leadership and membership who genuinely enjoy raiding together and moving through new content. We are looking for players of a similar mindset, for whom World of Warcraft is still a game, but who also put their best foot forward everytime they join a raid and focus completely on the task at hand.
Raid and Progression Information
Progression wise, we have cleared all pre 3.1 content with the exception of 2D/3D OS on both normal and heroic. We are presently 7/14 in normal Ulduar and 6/14 (Siege Clear) in Heroic Ulduar. Much like many guilds, the good weather and college seasons ending have had an impact on some of or raiders and made progression a bit slower than we would like. (Hence why we are once again recruiting).
We raid Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday at 5PM PST until 8PM PST (8PM-11PM EST) and we use EPGP for our loot distribution system. Details about raid requirements, times, loot policies etc can be found on our website in the policies section of the forums.
Who Should Apply?
While we do not have a hard set age limit, most of our players are over the age of 18 and ALL of our players are mature and understand that we do not tolerate guild drama, complaining about loot or people doing things that would undermine the guild goals.
We strongly seek players with experience, who have at least cleared Naxx 25 several times and understand what it takes to play their class. While we do not think you have to be an expert, able to quote numbers and figure out detailed equations, you need to understand you're role and how to excel and performing it.
You also need to understand what progression means. Progression to us does not mean walking into a raid instance and steamrolling every boss. It means along the way there will be roadblocks and challenges. We might wipe on a boss several times as we learn the specific mechanics of a fight. What this means is that if you're looking for a guild to carry you through content either because you do not know how to play your class or because you could not be bothered to be part of real progression and just want gear, you should look elsewhere.
Most of all, we're looking for players who will commit themselves to our raid schedule and to being a part of the guild for a long time. We know we're not perfect but we're very up front about things during the application process, we encourage you to approach your application and subsequent interview with the same mindset because it will ensure that we work through any potential issues before you waste money on a server transfer or switching guilds.
While we will never turn down someone we believe is an exceptional player who could benefit the guild as a whole, we are currently looking to fill some very specific needs as a guild and they are as follows.
Our areas of need are considered in terms of raid balance and upcoming encounters. Note that we will likely recruit some combination of the above class/spec not necessarily all of them.
Applying to Drunken Bandits
The best and fastest way to apply to Drunken Bandits is through our website Drunken Bandits - An Aerie Peak US Guild. There is an online application form there which can be filled out. Once we receive the application you will be contacted to setup an interview.
A note, if you are a possible server transfer please be sure to list your current realm in the notes section of the application so we can contact you.
Also, if you have reviewed the information on our site but want to speak with someone before submitting an application, you can contact Vogid (me), Jalyia or Shahmer on the Aerie Peak server or send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
**A note, our new website is currently under development and should be available in the next few weeks. For now, our current site leaves a bit to be desired -- Vogid**
