<Trademarked> - WOL Reports
(the name is wrong but the parses are right)
About Us
We're a very casual 10 man guild. We raid 6 hours a week, and only 6 hours a week. We've all got jobs and family, and so raiding is not the top priority in our lives. Our raids run from 9pm-midnight Central Time (Azgalor is also Central Time) on Thursdays and Saturdays. While we do not raid often, we strive for excellence in all that we do. We were one of the few guilds to achieve 'The Undying' title in Naxxramas, and we are 12/13 for the same title in Ulduar (Champion of Ulduar). We do not stand in void zones. We're dedicated to focusing all of our raiding efforts into a relatively compressed amount of time.
The core of our guild has been formed from real life relationships. I'm engaged to our co-leader, and my co-workers play the role of Guild Officers. We're about friends and family, not about rivals and enemies. We don't trash our own players, and we work to uplift those in the guild. We have a very strong reputation on our server as a group of talented and knowledgeable individuals.
We have a very generous loot system (based on /roll), with officer interjection in specific situations (legendaries, etc). The guild pays for all raid-related repair bills, flask and consumable costs, and major enchanting fees (for your PvE gear). We're currently working on Yogg-Saron (though attendance has left us with only 1 hour of total attempts), and working on FL and XT-002 hard modes. We plan to achieve a few of the hard modes in Ulduar, but we are not a drake-quality guild.
About You
You're available on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9pm-midnight, on a regular basis (90%+). Attendance and experience are the two biggest metrics that you will be graded on. We're looking for raiders who know how to play their class, without requiring the raid leader to tell you what spells to use. You should have the gear to immediately begin raiding Ulduar (no blues), and your knowledge of your class should be complimented with a desire to stay on the cutting edge. I don't care if you were top of the charts in Sunwell, I want you to know how to play your class at 80 and in current content.
Experience in your role is very important. While we don't require that you've been clearing Ulduar every week, we do require that you understand your class in a raid environment well enough that you can adapt to new encounters. You need to know better than to LOS a healer, you need to stay out of (or in) anything on the ground, and you need to react to commands instantly.
Specifically, we are looking for
one AoE-style healer (Druid or Priest),
one tank (Paladin, Warrior, or Feral Druid), and
one DPS (Rogue, Boomkin, Warlock, Shaman). These are full-time raid spots, we don't use any sort of rotation or alternate system.
Role-specific Notes
Healer:
We are looking for a healer who enjoys showing up to the raid every week. We are specifically looking for a powerful AoE healer to ensure the survival of every one of our raiders. We run a tri-healing setup. While slower than a duo-healer raid, we make up for the loss of a DPS class by ensuring that all of our DPS stay alive at all times.
Tank:
We're looking for a tank with advanced knowledge of his or her craft. Knowing when to use your SBV gear and when to stack avoidance is key. We also enjoying showering our tanks with off-spec DPS gear as well, so that you'll be able to do proper DPS on single tank fights. The spot we have open can be filled by an OT or an MT, our current tank is very flexible. We will be evaluating your gear with the most scrutiny.
DPS:
We're looking for a DPS who knows how to stay alive, and how to maximize their own personal DPS. We've got a great group of theorycrafters in the guild, and we love to talk strategy and stats. However, linking two items in guild chat and asking "which should I use?" will result in a swift kick. Asking for your DPS count after every fight will also result in a kick. We post a WOL report after every raid, and you'll be able to evaluate your results there.
