About Us:
Contrast is a 25 man, progression oriented raiding guild on the Ysera-US server. Our goal is to complete all hard modes at a very competitive rate. We formed in mid-June from a group of people from Ysera and other servers who sought a guild that required and expected more out of ourselves and each other in order to progress through the demands of Ulduar and beyond. Despite being such a new guild we have managed to cohere well enough to quickly down Yogg, followed by Flame Leviathan, XT, Hodir, Thorim, and Iron Council hard modes. Contrast is, of course, actively working to complete all other hard modes and be positioned to tackle 3.2 and beyond with even better success!

Although we do not have scheduled 10 man raids for the guild, several of our members have raided Ulduar 10 together to get rusted proto-drakes (all hard modes), the Champion of Ulduar title, and working on Algalon.

We raid 5 nights a week, from 7:30-11:30 EST. This is not a casual guild; raiders are expected to have a strong understanding of several facets of their class and all relevant boss encounters, which means some amount of time outside of raids must also be spent working on improving ourselves. Loot is distributed via a DKP system (PM an officer for more details).


About You:
There are a number of qualities that are highly valued outside of simply following instructions: If you are the kind of player who likes going through logs to search for opportunities for improvement; who likes doing the math to really minmax their gear and playstyle; who is capable of giving solid advice to other members of that class; etc - we'd love to hear from you.

Class-specifc Notes:
We are currently recruiting ALL classes. Emphasis is indicated below.
Healers - High. Any class

Druids - Medium (all specs)
Mages - Medium
Hunters - Medium
Paladins - High, all specs. Even with the JoL nerf we could use another judgment and 3% damage from a ret. A capable prot paladin would be nice too, especially as they stand immediately after this patch
Priests - Medium
Rogues - Medium
Shaman - Medium, mostly resto.
Warlocks - Medium
Warrior - Medium (arms, possibly fury)
