[Alliance][Aegwynn] <there is no cow level> 6/9 Hard Modes - Any Class

INTRODUCTION

Ahoy there.

<there is no cow level> was originally formed as a ten man guild with the ambition to become a strong force in guild progress. After a long bout of server drama, <tincl> has bolstered its rosters and has become the strongest 25 man guild on US-Aegwynn.

Despite slow recruitment pre-3.1, we still managed to achieve server second (Alliance first) "Heroic: The Twilight Zone" and "The Twilight Zone". As of writing this post, we have the server first Yogg-Saron kill (May 6th 2009). Since then, we have achieved server first or second Flame Leviathan, XT-002, Hodir, Thorim, Iron Council, and Vezax hard modes. We are ranked 492 in the US for 25 mans. We are working on our remaining Ulduar hard modes and easy mode Coliseum as we wait for the release of Coliseum hard modes.

*** Although we strive to do the best we can, we are not a hardcore guild. If you are looking for an Arthas US first, this is not the guild for you. That being said, I can guarantee you that our core is incredibly strong. Our DPS consistently tries to best each other, our tanks are very reliable, and our healers can pull very clutch moves in dire times. A majority of our members theorycraft for long periods of time to try and figure out how to smooth out a certain encounter, how to beat a certain encounter, or how to min/max their characters. But we are not hardcore and will never consider ourselves to be hardcore. ***

A major perk about US-Aegwynn is its history of very little to no downtime. We are usually one of the first servers back up after maintenance, and there is non-existent instance lag or server queues. However, this server does suffer for being a low-medium pop server.

Requirements:

It is common sense that we have a gear requirement. If you can’t figure out what our gear requirement is by looking at our progress, then press your back button.

You must be active. This means coming to 80%, if not all of our raids.

The number one quality a prospective recruit must have is to never give up. When we try Heroic: One Light in the Darkness, we do not want to hear "but this does not get us to Algalon", or "let’s do something that matters". Hard modes are hard modes - we can direct you to other guilds which are clearing easy modes if that is your main focus.

You must constantly be willing to challenge yourself and never thinking that your DPS or healing was enough. If you have done 5000 dps on Ignis and you know "I can do more", then you are the type of person we are looking for.

At the moment, we have about 27 core raiders. This is not enough, because our raiders feel spoiled since we only have 27 people to raid, encouraging lateness and downtime. We want to challenge our raiders and to create a competitive atmosphere for the "giving-out" of raid spots. In addition, there are some raiders who we feel are weak, and would like to make them try harder, or to replace them.

Prospective raiders should know how their class works, inside and out. You know that Slice and Dice never drops, you know to re-totem when you run out of range, and you know not to pull aggro on an aggro-sensitive fight. Standing in fire (albeit a new and exciting mechanic) generally gets you a frown from every other player.

You have the capability to fund all of your repair bills, meaning you will not QQ about a 150 gold repair bill after one night, or a 500g repair bill at the end of the week.. We give flasks out to people we feel deserve them.

On top of that however, you must also know how to improvise. WoW is a dynamic game, and the random number generator makes it so that no fight is ever completely "scripted". For example, you must pick up your healing if three healers get gripped by Kologarn, and you must land those clutch Earth Shocks where the need arises. Because of this, PvP experience is highly valued. Our guild is not full of gladiators, but we have quite a few players who have played in the 2000+ bracket. We also have a few multi-season Gladiators in our guild.

***We do not tolerate in-guild drama***

Our final requirement is that you play this game for fun. We expect you to be the type of person that logs on for fun (a large number of achievement points is a big plus), and do things like dailies, PvP, and just interacting with the guild on a friendly and casual level. We like to think of ourselves as a community - we chat on Ventrilo frequently and just mess around in general.

Schedule:

We raid from Sunday-Wednesday, 8-12 EST (7-11 Aegwynn server time). Sometimes we go past 11 ST for the sake of progression. Also sometimes we will choose to raid Saturday and Thursdays (also for the sake of progression) – it is a very, very large bonus if you have the time to raid on our scheduled offdays. If we decide to raid on a scheduled off-day, you shouldn’t think of that as the equivalent of working overtime. One who logs on at 6:55 and logs off at 11:05 probably does not belong in <there is no cow level> either.

What we need:

First and foremost, we do not turn down applications that "wow" us (unless you’re the 22nd rogue to apply). If you feel you have what it takes to be a cow, then feel free to drop us an app.

We are currently looking for:

Exceptional Players of any class

Applications can be made on our guild website, Home : There is no Cow Level - Guild Launch Guild Hosting
Feel free to drop an officer a line if you have any questions:
Vallkyrie, Nicomacchus, Taiyoken (Stargazer), Tankinstein, Turksandwich
