[Horde][Balnazzar] <Casually Serious> 7/9 on an 8 hour raidweek, LF tree, Enh, more.
Who we are:
Casually Serious is a guild for stellar players who cannot or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional "hardcore" guilds. If you want to kill Arthas, but your newly acquired significant other doesn't understand that "lame fantasy thing you do," then we might be what you're looking for. We are also home to a number of people with school or work commitments that don't allow them to consider <Elitist Jerks> a viable option.
We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-11 PST, even after patch releases and during progression races. That's right, just 8 hours a week. We are one of very few guilds to progress with such a light schedule. Accordingly, we run a very tight (fewer than 30 raiders) roster with the expectation that our members achieve near 100% attendance. The guild was formed to take advantage of some of the "casual friendly" changes that were brought by WotLK, and we have successfully pushed the limits of what can be achieved by great players on a "lolcasual" schedule. We are 7/9 Ulduar hardmodes, with GotUR completed, and are currently wrapping up the meta (Firefighter, Yogg +1 (+0), and --coming soon!-- Algalon!) while facerolling the new Crusader content in preparation for Icecrown.
Loot is handled by /random with a "don't be a douche" clause, and loot council override for legendaries and key items.
Balnazzar is a low-pop server centrally located in Dallas with zero lag, no queue, a surprisingly good economy, and a healthy battlegroup.
Who we expect you to be:
Applicants will only be considered if they demonstrate above-average intelligence, exemplary skill, a thorough understanding of game mechanics, a high level of maturity, a strong command of the English language, and above all a complete and total lack of epeening, douchebaggery, asshattery, and anything else that would make you unpleasant to be around. We all get paid to deal with idiots and assholes, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well? In order to be considered for promotion, in addition to demonstrating the above mentioned attributes, applicants will also need to fit into the existing guild culture, contributing without conflicting or annoying. Check your ego at the door.
As schedules shift around for the fall, we are currently recruiting an amazing resto druid, one skilled enhancement shaman, possibly one stellar feral druid, and one incredible something else.
We will always consider exceptional applicants of any class.
If that sounds appealing, and you meet our admittedly high expectations, then I can unequivocally promise you that Casually Serious will be the best online nerd experience you will ever have the pleasure of being a part of.
