[Horde][Balnazzar] <Casually Serious> 4/5, Celestial Defenders on an 8 hour raid week
Who we are:
Casually Serious is a guild for stellar players who cannot or do not want to commit to the time-intensive raid schedules of traditional "hardcore" guilds. If you want to kill Arthas, but your newly acquired significant other doesn't understand that "lame fantasy thing you do," then we might be what you're looking for. We are also home to a number of people with school or work commitments that don't allow them to consider <Elitist Jerks> an option. We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-11 PST, even after patch releases and during progression races. That's right, just 8 hours a week. We are one of very few guilds to progress with such a light schedule. Accordingly, we run a very tight (fewer than 30 raiders) roster with the expectation that our members achieve near 100% attendance. The guild was formed to take advantage of some of the "casual friendly" changes that were brought by WotLK, and we have successfully pushed the limits of what can be achieved by great players on a "lolcasual" schedule. We are 4/5 Heroic ToC, working on Anub, with Algalon down (the first reset!) and GotUR (25) complete. We plan to get Yogg 0 and our Death's Demise titles when TotGC is clear. Loot is handled by /random with a "don't be a douche" clause, and loot council override for legendaries and key items. Balnazzar is a low-pop server centrally located in Dallas with zero lag, no queue, a surprisingly good economy, and a healthy battlegroup. Progression nuts and bolts can be found at: WoWProgress. And feel free to visit our website at Casually Serious Who we expect you to be: Applicants will only be considered if they demonstrate intelligence, exemplary skill, a thorough understanding of game mechanics, maturity, a command of the English language, and above all a complete and total lack of epeening, douchebaggery, asshattery, and anything else that would make you unpleasant to be around. We all get paid to deal with idiots and assholes, why should we pay to spend our leisure time with them as well? In order to be considered for promotion, in addition to demonstrating the above mentioned attributes, applicants will also need to fit into the existing guild culture, contributing without conflicting or annoying. Check your ego at the door. We're currently looking for a Prot Paladin, one who is also also capable of skillfully playing holy/ret as the situation requires. The prot paladin spot is something we're in no rush to fill; I'm willing to wait for somebody worthy of being one of our main tanks. Serious applicants should include fraps of boss fights, preferably ones that demonstrate situational awareness and tanking ability. We will always consider exceptional applicants of any class. If you are awesome (and you would know if you were) then please give us the pleasure of considering your application. If that sounds appealing, and you meet our admittedly high expectations, then I can unequivocally promise you that Casually Serious will be the best online nerd experience you will ever have the pleasure of being a part of. How to apply: PM me on these boards, visit our website, or send me an email at Chupavida at gmail.com with: Ez-mode Application Template:
Can you commit to near 100% attendance to scheduled raids? (Tues/Thurs from 7-11 PST) (if the answer is no, then don't bother applying) While we are committed to not wasting people's time and money, and we do our best to only trial people who we feel are a good fit, our first priority is always the long-term health of this guild. If at the end of your trial period, we aren't convinced you would make a good addition to our core, we will not promote you, and in some cases (personality conflicts), ask you to leave. Please transfer here only if you are confident both in your playing ability, as well as your interpersonal skills. Do you understand this? [Insert additional awesomeness here] Also, feel free to talk to one of our officers in game: Anike Chupavida Deyus Woes |
