Nepentheum is a late night Horde raiding guild on Silvermoon(PVE) server. We typically raid Monday morning & Wednesday - Friday morning from 12-4am PST. Nepentheum consists of a solid core of transfers who had one common goal - Late Night Dominance. We are currently 13/14 and 6/9 in H Ulduar and 5/5 ToC. We do run Uld10 among other older raid dungeons frequently on our off nights, but our focus has been 25man progression and Achievements. We have Rusted Proto Drakes and Val'anyr in guild as well.

We are looking for experienced players for the following classes:
At the current time, recruitment is open for caster DPS, holy/prot pallies, and druid(resto/boomkin/tank mage and warlock with ulduar experience. If you are uld geared or better, please follow the guild site address at the bottom of this post. Yogg is on farm and we are looking for more quality players to continue working on hard modes.

We are a hardcore, progression driven guild that prides itself on atmosphere and having fun. The median guild member age is 22-30, so it's safe to say we're a mature/adult guild. Dedication and Dependability would probably be the most important factor right now. The question is not if we will progress, but moreso at what rate we will progress. This hinges delicately on the rate at which we can find more quality members to fill our ranks.

Nepentheum uses Loot Council system to distribute loot. This system is designed to reward the most dedicated/consistent players as well as still provide gear to newer/casual raiders in the guild. We have an amazing Gbank system taht provides members access to discounts on most commonly used items in the game. We are looking for players who are about Guild > Themself. I'm sure everyone wants to get loot, but we like to enjoy ourselves and have fun doing it. Cohesion and Atmosphere are very important for us, so our theory is that the guild is only as strong as its weakest link. If you are not a team player, please move on!

We are a tight knit group of individuals who have grown very close. At any given time, you can easily find 4-5 guildies on vent chatting it up. We pretty much chill and just hang out when not raiding and help each other out. We like people who try to be active on guild forums, as we use this medium as a way to keep tabs on the latest strats, specs, news, or anything wow related.

When the raid starts, we expect players to be competent and prepared. This includes coming to progression nights with proper consumables(elixirs, flasks, etc), knowledge of encounters, a positive attitude, and situational/class awareness. If you can't figure which spec is the proper raid spec, you must find one or please move on.

We are very laid back and frequently cut up. If you can't handle jokes or sporadic sarcastic comments..please move on. I mean, this game is about fun..isn't it? Why treat like raiding like a job?

What is expected:

*Preparation - including research of encounters, raid consumables, and proper gear enhancement(via enchants, armor kits, etc).

*Sense of Humor - We like to have a good time. If you can't handle players who cuss like sailors ..this is not a guild for you!

*Dedication - If u can't commit to raid 3 nights a week, this is not the guild for you! You are EXPECTED to have 80% attendance over the course of your probation period in the guild.(first 2-3 weeks)

*Patience - You may not get loot all the time..wait your turn! Takes time to learn new bosses as well. Stick around and loot you shall receive.

*Attention Span - If you need to be told 8 times that "Fire R Bad..so stay out!"..yeah..keep moving!!

*Performance - This has 2 categories. One, if your computer can't afford u more than 10-15 FPS consistently, in a heavy graphic raid environment, you will most likely hold us back. Also, if your latency is consistently in the red, can't help you. TWO, are u a competent player? Do you know your class inside and out. Do you know the difference between "raid spec" and "pvp spec"?

*GOOD ATTITUDE - This is the most important thing. The guild name Nepentheum originates from the root word nepenthe which means ~something capable of making one forget grief or suffering~!! If you can't leave your angry wife BS, crazy GF drama, work stress or sexual frustration someplace else other than in the guild..please keep moving! We just wanna have fun and enjoy the game while seeing the raid content blizz throws at us.
