About Us:
Insurgence is a progression-focused guild for players whose commitments prevent them from participating in a 4-7 day raid schedule, but who want to make the most of the time they do have. We run an extremely short roster (with fewer than 30 active raiders), so all of our Initiate and Raider rank members see plenty of playtime. We have completed 4/5 ToGC. Most of our members are working young professionals, and the raid atmosphere reflects this: we crack dirty jokes with the best of 'em between pulls, but performance issues can be addressed without bruised egos or nerdrage when we're working on new content.
About Turalyon:
Turalyon is an Eastern PVE server. There are quite a few well-progressed Horde side guilds, and a surprising amount of cooperation between them. Cross-guild offnight 10s or alt 25s are a frequent occurrence. There are also a number of well-progressed Alliance guilds if your alts swing that way. I can't remember the last time we had a login queue, and people were only locked out of instances during the first week of Badgepalooza '09, but the large raiding population ensures that the AH remains stocked and prices stay reasonable.
About You:
You're looking for a guild here; that's a start.
We're looking for top performers of any class/spec (with the possible exception of DK tanks), but are particularly insterested in:
Druid (all specs)
Hunter
Warlock
You will need to provide a WWS/WMO/WOL parse of your performance in a raid environment to allow us to have a look at both your overall output and your skill selection. If you're not currently raiding, a Vault or pickup OS parse will do. We just need something to work with so that we don't waste your time (and money) having you transfer over for a trial if you're not going to be able to meet our standards.
Hybrids are expected to have learned and geared an alternate spec. We try not to make mid-raid substitutions, so the ability to flex specs allows us to deal with encounter-specific raid requirements with a minimal amount of shuffling. If you come in under one role you'll be playing that role the majority of the time (we're not going to recruit you as Ret and then "Surprise! You're Holy now!"), but the expectation is that you can step up in a pinch and the raid won't be severely impacted.
It is also expected that you'll make 80-90% of raids. We run a short roster and a short schedule. If we're going to have to spend time re-educating people about fight mechanics week in and week out due to a revolving door raid, we're not going to get very far. A lot of our members are very busy people who make our raid times a priority. You should too.
You're the sort of person who leaves every raid thinking less about "look at how well I did there" and more about "what can I do better next time"? Both of those sentiments can drive strong performers, but constantly staying hungry and looking for improvements trumps self-involved wankery. Grats on your performance this week, but I'm way more interested in what you're going to do. It's not about excuse-making; it's about being driven.
Finally, you're a decent and generally intelligent person. Over and above our in-game goals, the members and leaders of Insurgence genuinely like each other. We think that if you're going to spend 12+ hours a week with a group of people, you should have something in common and get along. It helps pass the time on slow nights, it helps keep morale up when we're stuck on a fight, and it keeps the drama nonexistant. Good raiders; good people.
