We are looking for nearly full toc geared players that have at a minimum experience up to Heroic Anub (10 or 25). We're only looking to recruit a max of 2 from the above dps (likely 1 melee and 1 ranged).
Guild Overview
Blue Moon is a 25 man raiding guild that focuses on defeating the most difficult content in the game while maintaining a schedule that is conducive to allowing ample free time for real life activities. This guild is not designed to get world firsts in a day-to-day basis, but we strive to compete on a week-to-week basis with the top guilds in the world.
Blue Moon has always had one of the most talented rosters on Ner'zhul since it's creation and we are looking to continue that tradition. We keep a very small roster (never more than 33 people) and we DO NOT recruit backups or bench spots. This also means that every raider is a full time raider and as such it is expected that each person is able to attend all raids on a regular basis. We understand that certain situations are unavoidable and will cause players to miss raids on occasion, but a strict 80% raid attendance is required (with 12 raids a month, that means you can miss 2). During your trial it is expected that you should miss no more than 1 raid.
Schedule
We raid 3 days a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 6:00pm to 11:00pm PST. End times vary +/- 1 hour depending on content (usually the Sunday raid is the longest when we are trying to finish up anything left over from the rest of the week), but you will never be punished for leaving at 11pm. We also offer 10 mans throughout the week and a weekly run PUG TOC25/Ony25 on Friday at 6pm server time for alts or any mains that miss the guild clear earlier in the week.
Progression
In 25 player raids we are currently working TotGC Tribute to Immortality (Instanity Complete) and Yogg+0 (Algalon + all Hard Modes down).
While the main focus of the guild is 25 man raiding, we do also encourage 10 man raiding. Our 10 man progression includes all of Ulduar (Rusted Proto, Yogg+0, Algalon, and Herald of the Titans) and Tribute to Dedicated Insanity.
Loot
Loot is distributed via loot council based on performance, attendance, and what's the best upgrade to ensure maximum performance in the guild. The loot council is made up of the guild officers, most of which have been in the guild for 3+ years.
What we expect from you
*Reliable: We only raid 3 days a week and we keep a small roster. In a perfect world we would only have 25 people, but things come up and we understand that. However, with a 3 day raid week having to call a raid due to lack of players (or being unable to work on a hard mode) is a HUGE set back for us and one we simply cannot afford to make if we want to compete with the best guilds around.
*Accept Criticism: We are looking for players that can think and react on their own. You should be able to decide when are the best times to use your cooldowns or abilities to maximize effectiveness. With that said you should also be able to follow direction even if it goes against your own opinion. We aren't going to bite your head off if you make a mistake, but we won't ignore it completely either and you should be able to accept the criticism without getting defensive or justifying why you made a mistake (unless asked).
*Knowledge of Your Class: With our small roster, if a tank or healer is missing we may not have a pure tank or healer waiting to fill in. We often shift roles to fill gaps in the raid in favor of recruiting extra players just for those specific roles. Therefore it is necessary that hybrid classes have at least a sufficient knowledge of at least 1 other role in their class for such occasions.
*Gear: While your gear should be sufficient for the current content we are working on, your gear also tells us a lot about what kind of a raider and player you are. The gems and enchants you choose are very telling to your knowledge of the class or to your dedication to raiding.
*Motivation: We want players that WANT to raid and WANT to be the best. We want players that want to beat everyone on the meters (assuming that's what the situation calls for), limit their mistakes, and are constantly looking for ways to improve their play. We also seek players that actually play WoW outside of raids. We're not saying you need to be on at every free second of your life; we raid only 3 days a week for a reason - so that you have free time for RL. However, we are not looking for players that are only online for the 3 raids each week.
