Hello,
Firstly let me thank you for taking the time to read our post. I'm GM of the non-elitist progression guild Completely Different. It's always bothered me that a substantial amount of the skilled players in this game seem to think that taking a video game more seriously than someone else gives them this right to act like an elitist prick to others around them. I was sick of it and in our guild we search for people who know the difference between knowing you are a good player and wanting others to know you are a good player.
Before you read further let me clarify something. If, when you read "non-elitist", the idea of a casual guild pops into your head I need to stress that we are absolutely not a casual guild. If you transfer to join us expecting to be able to do minimal encounter research and do not know your class in and out you will feel very out of place very quickly. Our raiders comb through every log parse figuring out how to improve their play and similar effort will expected of you. I founded this guild because currently circumstances in my own life no longer allow me to raid 5+ days per week but I find raiding with typical "casual" guilds to be too frustrating for me to still enjoy it on a regular basis. This guild is an attempt to gather together people who are interested in focused progression raids but can only make the time for 3-4 raids a week.
So whether you're an old vanilla raider whose family now takes priority and prevents you from raiding 6 nights a week or a pre nerf KJ veteran whose career has prevented you from dedicating the same time you did in BC, we're hoping you'll join us. These are the caliber of players we seek when we recruit and this is the level of play we expect of anyone in our guild.
Here's the standard information of logistical importance:
Raids: Sun/Mon/Wed (+Thurs for about a month after content patches) 6:30-10:30 MST (8:30-12:30 EST)
Website: cd.vitalstuff.org
Progression:
WoW Guild Completely Different :: WoWProgress - World of Warcraft Rankings and History
Progression wise our goal is to work to becoming a top 300 world guild on our limited schedule. However, our most important goal is to make sure we surround ourselves with skilled players, so that no one feels like they are carrying others through this content, and people who we actually enjoy playing with.
If you have any questions about our guild or recruitment please talk to Turelliax or myself in game.
Cheers,
-Shaidar, GM of Completely Different
