The problem with destro warlocks is demonic sacrifice (21 demo) which will get changed -> they want full specs with 51+
And even if the damage would be lower the fact that it doesn't generate threat could be usefull, DKs have no active threat dump.
Afaik furor gets better passive threat reduction than deathknights.
em?
DK got 25% threat reduction from Subversion in Blood/Unholy presense.
Warrior got 10% threat reduction from Imp.Berserk Stance and another 10% from Furiouse Resolve. 20% total threat reduction. Did the bers.stance still grants 0.2 reduction after F.Resolve implementation? =\
I thought warriors which aren't in def-stance geht passive threat reduction anyway?
But anyway, threat should be a problem for deathknights, otherwise there dps are to low
And as they don't have any active dump for it an ability which does damage without threat would be nice.

dont forget about raise dead and army of the dead if you use deep blood + unholy spec ^_^

they are. But Blizz add a fury talent with threat reduction for warriors not in def stance. If all of this stacks than it wll be about 40% passive threat reduction. It is imba, isnt it? In comparison to DK 25%...
Does Plague Strike or Degeneration from Dancing Rune Weapon produce a disease? And if so - does it stacks with character's produced diseases from the same strikes?
Yes dancing runeweapon produces diseases when it hits with plaguestrike/degen, just like you do. They stack with yours, so you end up with 4diseases just from that. Dancing runeweapon is definitely better than deathcoil in terms of damage too, at least at my level, I'm unsure of how dancing runeweapon scale, if it's based on your own weapon or what. There might be a point of inflexion at very high lvl of gear where it becomes obsolete.
Damn euro servers are down again, guess I'll use the time to fix my other computer ^^.

I guess that's what Paladin's Hand of Salvation is for.
Just some questions that I haven't been able to find answers for:
1. How much does hp does Scent of Blood steal on each hit?
2. This was asked earlier in the thread but I don't think I've seen it answered: Can you Death Coil heal yourself while under the effect of Lichborne?
3. Can you be Shackled/Turned while under the effect of Lichborne?
4. If you have 10,000 hp, and use you use an UN-improved Rune Tap, you would gain 1000 hp. Now if you talented it to 3/3 Improved Rune Tap, would you you gain 1450 hp or 5500 hp?
5. Is Crype Fever/Ebon Plague counted as a disease?
6. Hungering Cold's tooltip says that it prevents enemies caught in it's effect from performing any action. Is it true to the tooltip? Is it just a root? Is it an effect similar to a gouge? Can it be broken out of with trinkets, divine shield, or ice block?
7. Has there been any talk from blues of adding random pre existing corpses to arenas so that speccing for ghouls or corpse explosion could possibly be viable?

This was previously answered. The fully talented version would heal you for 1450 hp in your example. (aka, Rune Tap = 10%, 3/3 Improved Rune Tap = 14.5%)
For comparison, here are some DPS statistics generated by Hex. All builds are at level 80 wearing Warrior T6/Sunwell gear, hit capped at 9%, and fully raid buffed/debuffed with level 70 values. 'Plague Strike x 0.5' means Plague Strike is cast every second rotation, etc. DW is dual-wielding. Target is boss with 11110 AC (equivalent at level 80 to 7770 AC at level 70). All rune configurations are 2/2/2 courtesy of the recent announcement.

1. Can't login atm to check exactly how much, it seems to be about 30% of a hit though(usually ticks for around 80-100, might be less I'd need to check, but it's a lot)
2. Yes you can deathcoil yourself for a heal.
3. Haven't tested yet since char copies only started to work yesterday, and now server is acting up. Will test once I can get in, so probably tonight. Planning to test exorcism and so on, see how it works. Probably gonna test acclimatation in PvP too, and if Degening a lifebloom makes it bloom or not, random PvP stuff
4. 1450, it's 45%more of the 10%, sadly.
5. It's a disease, and Ebon Plague replaces Crypt Fever once you train it, so it's always only one disease.
6. It's an AE freezing trap. It works exactly like trap, as far as I know it's magic dispellable if the dispeller wasn't caught in it, and everything that removes effects such as bubble or trinket will remove it. However, it gives the frozen status, so a mage would get high crit frostbolts/frostlances on target, while he doesn't on freezing trap afaik.
7. You can summon ghouls even without corpses, it costs a reagent though. During arena prep, I believe reagent costs were removed?(correct me if I'm wrong, been forever since I last did arenas), but you can get ghouls up either way. The reagent is pretty expensive currently however(50silvers base cost). For Corpse Explosion, I guess you'll have to rely on making the corpses yourself, with pets or killing people, it's not like you get free corpses in PvE either, you have to kill an initial mob then pull the rest on the corpse and stuff like that.

Ah so it's percentage based? So let's assume for a moment that your 30% figure is correct. If I normally hit for 1000, then when I hit with Scent of Blood would I:
Another question for you py: How much damage are you looking at for army of the dead? Does it scale with anything?
I was looking forward to unholy, but the more I hear about it, the less effective it seems.
Level80 ability, no one has ever seen it, won't see any 80 DK for maybe a few days still, not sure what's highest level but well since they got wiped, I guess on US server(since euro servers have a lot of issues and were up late) the highest is probably around 74 now.

Currently during Arena prep Warlocks do not use Soul Shards summoning their pets, so I assume Ghouls will be the same way.
Anyway, 50 silver isn't a high cost, and most of the time corpses are around.

Unless they've changed it recently, shaman require scales to cast water breathing during arena prep, so I don't think there's any way to really know without testing.

Death Coil will not heal fellow DK allies while under this effect. I have tried this on the US Beta realms.

I haven't tested this yet, but i speculate the answer is no because the Death Coil healing effect does not work.

Improved Rune Tap is applied to the 10% of life being healed. So with your model of 10,000hp, one would gain 1000hp healed when Rune Tapping. Speccing into Improved Rune Tap increases that 1000hp healed by 45%, so that is now 1450hp healed. I didn't see anyone mention this yet but Rune Tap can crit heal, so with 10,000hp, you can crit heal yourself for 2175hp.
Ok so two tests now that I'm in northrend and servers are up:
First, Lichborne makes you vulnerable to everything undead related: shackles, exorcism, the AE stun thing I forgot the name of from paladins and so on. It also does NOT make you immune to the fear from Turn Evil. Meaning, Lichborne in arena is very gimped by a paladin on the opponent's team. Turn evil has diminishing returns and act like any other fear.
Second, Degeneration on Lifebloom does not make the LB bloom. What I mean is usually if you purge a bloom, it'll heal the target anyway by forcing the bloom. Degenerating it will simply remove it, and apply the dot. Also Degenerate dot after eating a hot is about 8times stronger than base. You might think that's a lot, but base degenration ticks for 15 on my build, so well that's only 120 a tick. Nothing to get crazy about.
That's it for now, I'll try to test stuff as I remember and have time to, but well it took me about 6people before finding one that could talk english or actually answered me ^^.
While we're still on topic of Lichborn, what kind of animation it has?
I'm hoping it has a cool metamorphosis effect (like HoX in AoC) but I'm afraid it'll have just some silly animation ontop of your head.
You couldn't be more right, it's a silly animation on top of your head. A small lichking green ghostish head. Floating over yours. At least it's not too flashy so people might not think of shackling or turning you ^^.
