Ug, hate to have two posts in a row, but I've been looking for a clear answer and having a hard time finding it. I'm trying to figure out the correct damage done by a DW frost attack with Threat of Thassarian and Nerves of Cold Steel.

I just want to see if I'm doing this right. Supposing I had two weapons that that did base damage of 1000, ToT will have one weapon hit at 100% and the other at 50%. Add in NoCS and the off hand goes up to 62.5%. Bringing my attack to 1625 combinged. If I'm off hear please let me know.

My confusion comes from a couple things. Mostly, it's how AP modifiers work with the bonus damage. The frost strike tooltip says it does 110% weapon damage plus (277*110/100). That is the part that confuses me. I'm trying to understand how that works and how I can do the calculations myself.

You answered your own question.
With NoCS your offhand hits for 62.5% of its damage

A = Weapon dmg is base + (2.4/14) * AP
B = 110% * (A + 277)

B is used for both mainhand (100%) and offhand (62.5%) damage
B is then multiplied with Merciless combat, Ferocious Inspiration, or anything else

I don't exactly have anywhere else to post this, because it's in relation to the goblin racial Rocket Barrage. However, it does have something to do with Frost DK.

I, like many people, will be switching my DK over to a goblin. 1% attack speed and a free nuke is great. However, I saw the calculation for the rocket and saw that it scales with AP. Does anyone know if the AP in the formula is snapshotted, or if it's your base AP, with no procs. I was thinking I could maximize the damage of RB by using PoF and making sure Unholy Strength was active. Would this improve it, or no? Thanks.

For Rocket Barrage, as with any nuke, the AP is snapshotted, so yes, lining it up with str cooldowns is ideal. The exact formula isn't what the tooltip would suggest (or, at least, wasn't at the end of beta), but it definitely does scale.

Am I just incapable of using the seach function properly, Or has anyone posted previously if outbreak is on the hit or spell table for its miss rate? I am under the asumption it was on the spell table but before I went and tested I tried to seach, failed, so thought I better ask.

After finding that rocket barrage does indeed trigger the GCD... is it a dps loss to use it?
