This is not true; attacking a mob from behind will lower your chance to be parried, which in turn will only increase your chance to hit. Your crit chance will remain unchanged. Read more about this and melee hit tables here: Melee Combat Mechanics

In regard of a Blood Tanking build, is it worth to skip Sudden doom to get other talents in the blood tree? Mainly buff to Heart Strike, since, being a tanking build, survivability has priority (with the assumption that I'll not have tps issues anyway in single target).

Widely Accepted BEST rotation 32/39??
I've been browsing the forums & attempting to search for this but I can't seem to find any particular part of a thread devoted specifically to the 32/39 build. Could someone please post what is widely accepted as the 'best' rotation for this spec. Or if there is a devoted thread or part of a thread that explains this (& more) a link would suffice.
Unfortunately w/ so many threads on so many different specs that are 50+ pages long I've had a hard time locating any info...which is odd as this seems to be a widely used spec. My apologies if I am blindly missing something that is right in front of my face.

Melee classes DPS from behind to avoid getting parried and etc etc, but is there some other benefit from doing this? I've had different people tell me no, and other people tell me there's an increased chance to crit from being behind a mob. Is it true? If so, does it apply to Death Knights?

1> Mob can't parry
2> Many attack types only affect what's in front of the enemy. Cleaves, breaths, etc. This is why even if you can hit the expertise hard cap and thus never have to worry about the boss parrying or dodging, you still want to be behind the boss.

Mobs can parry. The expertise hardcap is stupidly high, no one will conceive getting it. It takes like 490expertise rating to be hardcapped. That's why you attack from the back. The cleaves/breaths are obviously a bonus, but they only happen on certain mobs anyway, you still want to be behind every mob, even if they have no abilities.
Edit: Actually only bosses have such a high parry, on mobs you could probably hardcap expertise. If that's what you meant, then yeah. There's still no reason to stand in front of mobs when you can get behind.

Regarding DR: At which percent parry and dodge (disregarding what we get from talents) do we start to hit the DR for each avoidance type?
I realize that parry starts to hit the cap much earlier than dodge..but specifically when does it make it more worthwhile to gear for dodge over parry?

Quick question, I'm very torn on which glyph to use. I recently got my 4 piece bonus for DPS. I'm 17/0/54 Unholy meaning my Scourge Strikes now generate more Runic Power as I'm sure everyone knows.
My question: Now that my SS is generating more Runic Power, should I change my [Glyph of Icy Touch] out to something else or keep it and try to work more Deathcoils into my Rune downtime? I was thinking either [Item not found!] or [Glyph of Death and Decay] as a replacement, but I'm not sure how practical either of them will be.

If you find yourself capped on RP at times, dropping Icy Torch could help. However, you could be using more DC/Blight to burn RP, and the two glyphs you linked are pretty weak.

About runeforging enchants
Already PMed this to Kurokaze (and posted on the DW thread, but it got ignored), but he hasnt replied yet.
Looking at the top raid dps thread, some extremely high dps numbers were posted for players with dual fallen crusader. When you look at their WMO details, they have very similar buff uptime, 63% and 64%. Looking at my own uptime, it varies betwen 50% and 46%.
My question to math oriented DKs is: Is that ~15/20% extra uptime on fallen crusader superior to having cinderglacier on the offhand? I would do the math, but im pretty clueless with numbers im afraid.

I'm not sure about the math, but judging from the data we have collected (all the people breaking/reaching 6k DPS appear to be using FC/FC) and my own personal experience (I saw a noticeable DPS gain when I switched to FC/FC), I'm going to have to say that it is worth it.

Just tested dual FC on PW, lost around 90 dps even though the fight was shorter. Lost some time on gargoyle though because of no warning on BL, WMO to follow soon on DW thread.

Not so, I hit 6391 with FC/CG, and today couldnt do better than 6300 with FC/FC, so it is not that clear cut.

After the defense cap and because Defense adds to overall avoidance, is it better to stack defense rating or stack parry/dodge? By the same token, which would be better to stack, parry or dodge? I'd imagine parry would give you more rune strikes, but increase overall RP usage, perhaps starving DC/Gargoyle? And do rune strikes give you no chance to proc trinkets/runeforge enchants?
Edit: Disregard this post. I'm an idiot who doesnt know how to scroll up.

I've been wondering, now that that KM got normalized, what makes hybrid builds like 32/39 favor DW over 2H ?

Starting with Frost Tanking, current gear and talent tree is a work in progress, assuming low crit rate and low ap.
Dark Conviction or Tundra Stalker?
OBS: I used the search function but didn't get a clear answer, if I missed a keyword while searching my apologies.

Since Tundra Stalker grants expertise and a constant damage bonus (which should translate into constant increased threat) you should definitely grab it over Dark Conviction.

Gargoyle's duration isn't dependent on how much RP you have when you cast it, correct?

It's duration is independent of Runic Power when you cast it.

Kelthuryon: Dual wield simply deals more white damage than 2H by a significant margin.
With 4000 raid buffed AP, no talents, no hit/crit, and ilvl213ish weapons:
2H deals 200 damage per second plus attack power contribution. Attack power contribution is AP/14 or 285.7dps. Damage contribution is 92% due to missrate. Total dps is (200+285.7)*.92 or 446.8dps.
Mainhand DW deals 150 damage per second plus attack power contribution. Attack power contribution is AP/14 or 285.7dps. Damage contribution is 73% due to missrate. Total dps is (150+285.7)*.73 or 318.1dps.
Offhand DW deals 150 damage per second plus attack power contribution. Attack power contribution is AP/14 or 285.7dps. Damage contribution is 36.5% due to missrate and offhand penalty. Total dps is (150+285.7)*.365 or 159dps.
Total DW DPS: 477.1
DPS delta: 30.3
Most hybrid builds can take Nerves of Cold Steel but not 2H specialization. NoCS adds roughly 16% damage contribution (3% mainhand, 14% offhand) or 69.7dps.
Total DPS delta: 100.0
Necrosis multiplies white damage by roughly 120% (actually more due to double-dipping from percentage damage buffs). Adding 35% crit multiplies by 135% (actually more due to the way hit tables work).
Total DPS delta: 162.0
The effects of BCB and hit gear are beyond the scope of this napkin, however suffice it to say that BCB has been continually proven to work better the faster your weapon is, and hit gear obviously works better when you can benefit from more than 8%.

It should be noted that Necrosis scales from Impurity, so it will actually add 25% extra damage before any extra debuffs.

That is incorrect. While necrosis deals spell damage, it is an ability and not a spell. This means it gets it's damage boosted by Ebon Plaguebringer but not impurity. All effects that raise damage dealt by abilities such as Rage of Rivendare, Blood Presence, Bone Shield, Desecration, Tundra Stalker, and Blood Gorged raise it's damage.
Effects that raise all damage cause double dipping. It raises the damage of the hit and Necrosis uses that as a base damage, then it gets multiplied again by the modifier.

Thanks kurokaze.
Now I just have to try out DW. I've been wondering if switching [Titansteel Destroyer] to DW my stashed [Maexxna's Femur] + [Red Sword of Courage](or should I take the better stats with the EH rep blue?) would've been a bad thing, but your numbers just convinced me to go ahead with the 50g respec to give it a shot.
