Using obliterate as a benchmark (in diseaseless 51/0/20), won't you do more obliterate damage with Deadly Gladiator Weapons (3.6 speed), than something like Inevitable Defeat (3.4 speed)? I keep hearing both ways.

Single target threat wise, what's the list from better to worst tank (at the same level of gear)? I used to think difference shouldn't be too big, but it seems to me that pally > dk frost (a bit better than war but not too much), warrior > druid (and this seems to hold for aoe tanking too, for me).

A > B means that A can deliver more (or same as) tps than B even if A's gear is worst than B.

Searix, assuming hit&expertise cap, the 3.6 speed weapon > 3.4 speed weapon. Hence why Jawbone > Inevitable Defeat. Gladiator weapons don't have as much dps stats on them as normal pve weapons though, so probably would end up being a wash.

Does anyone have the new values for [Darkmoon Card: Death] ? I have done some testing of the trinket and it seems better than advertised. The trinket's unholy damage appears to be affected by some of the Unholy talents as I've seen a 2.7k crit without Cinderglacier up. What research I have done on the subject has had contradictory information: some think it has a % chance and no ICD but doesn't trigger on DoTs (15%). Some think it has a 45 second cooldown.

If someone has better information and has done more extensive testing, could you share the result?

Hey guys, was just curious as to what the top single target dps build was. I've been hearing a lot about the 32/39 build but my DPS tanks compared to 17/0/54. I am on a pretty low end system, so I'm wondering if there's a particular spec that works better with a low end system, or if I'm just speccing incorrectly for single target. Thanks.

I've browsed some of the DW threads about info what ppl seem to consider being the best MH/OH combo u can use, but browsing through 70+ pages in some of the threads is quite tedious so i'll ask my simple question here.

Last week i aquired both Angry Dread and Last Laugh and im currently using Last Laugh as my offhand... My question is if its a weapon i should stick with or try and replace for another weapon that doesnt have tanking stats on it?

Because Last Laugh has both higher DPS and strength on it, it is currently the best DW weapon in the game.

It is not uncommon for DW specs with FC/FC to see uptimes > 60% on certain fights (Patchwerk, Loatheb etc).

My follow-up question would then be if its worth getting 2xLast Laugh or stick with Angry Dread in MH?

Ok after searching I was unable to find out if Icy Talons stacks with another DKs improved Icy Talon buff? Also is vendetta nearly useless at 80 since nothing gives experience anymore? Or does it count if the mob could give experience?

Icy Talons will not stack with itself. Vendetta works at 80, however, it is a largely useless talent as you shouldn't really be taking damage while questing and you'll rarely land the killing blow in a raid setting.

Will it stack with a shaman's windfury?

I'm currently using Cryptfiend's Bite. Would I be better off with a STR based weapon like Death's Bite, and if so, how much better off would I be?

The list at DKinfo is the place I go for gear checks. It lists Death's Bite slightly higher than Cryptfiend's, but not by much.

Rawr or some other spreadsheet is a better tool to use rather than a gear list at DKinfo. However, the list is better than guessing what is better.

Being a Warlock with a DK alt, I need some advice. I have read through all the threads on the DK forum here, and I have a pretty good understanding. My question relates to DPS specs in beginner gear. Not sure how to put the question so lets try:

What spec/tree gives an higher than expected dps for low end gear builds?

Example: As a warlock that starts to raid you would advise someone to go 0/41/30 because the talents make up for bad gear, allowing you to do better dps for your gear, than you would with the true "powerhouse" builds like 55/0/18 or 0/20/51.

Is there something similar with DK and dps.
For example: I see the "disease-less" blood dps spec, and people saying you need very good gear for it, is there something exactly opposite. Aka where you can do decent dps with bad gear, until you get better gear?
( I don't mean 6k dps, I mean just not 1500 dps)

At the moment, I'd say that it would clearly be a 32/39 spec or similar. You can do very respectable dps with 2 rep. weapons and random dungeon drops.

is the old 15/37/19 build competitive with that at early gear levels? I leveled unholy for a bit, and really did not enjoy managing my ghoul
